Last Post Thread

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

BTW, I look forward to seeing you all try to break the forum software. When did you need new threads at WC1? ~1000 posts?

I openly wonder what Xenforo can support. Keep posting. I'm curious.

I find most boards end up capping at 1000 (and, yes, that was the limit at Wondercafe). RPG.net ended up using that cap, too.

Usually that's when the database queries to load the thread start to overwhelm things. Given our small size and that only a couple threads are even getting close, I'm hoping we can go higher.

This could be the LAST LAST post thread!

LAST never stops, chansen . . . when admin shuts us down, or software can't hold up . . . we will just keep making new threads and posting . . . forever.

It is like the song (now here is an earworm for those that know it) "It is a song that never ends, it just go on and on, my friend . . . "

LAST -

It is a thread that never ends . . .
It just goes on and on my friend.

The reason being . . . everyone just LOVES . . .

LAST!

I won't care about LAST #2 at all. I'm only curious about where #1 stops. You never find me in these threads, because they don't interest me. As an admin, I want to see where the software chokes.

Mendalla may be right. What if this place supports 100,000 posts per thread? Then what?

We are all willing to help you with your research chansen . . . we will keep up our end. I know a lot of people aren't interested in the LPT as it seems frivilous and mundane and childlike . . . but every once in a while a pearl arises - and you learn something special about the poster. Not every post or poster adds meaningful snippets, but when they come along it is a treasure. I think there is a different kind of bonding that takes place in this silly little thread. ;)

Is the LPT on even keel with you with the smiley emoticons?

Oh what a joy that would be.
It would mean that it would take us 100x as long to declare the first LAST poster.
It would mean that we just have to persevere even harder.
It would mean that the prize would be more sought after (perhaps you could make a "trophy")?

How high did we get on the original WC before Aaron realised that we should be capping the number of responses? Wasn't there an 'original last poster'? On musicsooths first thread?

The question of how high a thread can get is not the same as the article below. Threads are a great way to make money online easily and quickly. This thread will end up being used for informational purposes only and not only to discover a good time. I'm last.

The only thing you said that made any sense to me was "I'm last", and yet you are now wrong ;).

Well - I've been wrong and that was just saying lol. One thing about being wrong is that you don't know what I'm doing. The beauty of wrongness is the one that can get you some paranoid about your feelings. I'm last.

The unpacking is in process, could be a few days yet. By the way, does anyone need any boxes? I think I have a few I could be persuaded to part with.

The very first LPT was started by MS...I have vague memories that I may have been LAST or very close to it when it got shut down. I can't remember if we reached 5,000 posts but I do remember the second LPT was stopped around 3,000...then the 1,000 rule came in.

Red, if those boxes held books, I suggest you don't give the boxes away, give the books away
. They are a burden on your shoulders and you won't be last.
