Every day can be hot chocolate day, really.

Agree to disagree, Red. The heat we had on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week was pretty uncomfortable, and although I had a cup of coffee each day, as I always do, and a few cups of tea, there's something heavy and milky and hot about hot chocolate which would not have appealed.

Now, a day too hot to EAT a piece (or more) of a beautiful dark chocolate is non-existent in my opinion.

though if the day is too hot the piece of chocolate melts before one can get it in their mouth

Also, any and every day is a good day for ice cream too

Though if the temp is much below 0, fried ice cream might be preferable. :p

Old rain gauge (that I haven't gotten rid of yet) has 1.5 inches of rain in it, and the new one has 2.25 inches...and we're still under the rainfall warning

LAST on a nasty stormy day - but since I can't do anything outside, maybe I'll get something done inside? Or maybe I'll just curl up and read a book

That would be a FIRST for me
When I was in high school, if mom picked me up from band practice, we would stop and get an ice cream cone before heading home - rain or shine, summer or winter...first time I walked into the convenience store in a blizzard and asked for two cones the gal thought I was crazy but finally realized I was serious :)
