And I figured out how to get the old Facebook back again; apparently, it's still possible if you manage a Page, which I do. Ha!

And LAST, as I consider a meal. Hoping it will be a bit better than "just yogurt", which is sometimes all I manage...

I just had a wonderful 2.5 hour Zoom with my Aussie buddies from the year-long mentorship program...we could have talked another hour at least but they had to get on with their days...but now I need to find supper!

Time shifts across the IDL ... lies in Mid Pacific for chaos! Somewhere south of Pogo, Poga ...

great biking BA. Are you biking outside or on a stationary bike? I am virtually walking the Camino in Spain. I am 86% finished on my journey. 100 K or so left to do.

and BTW folks I knew my neighbour was full of it. Woodsmoke does aggravate my lungs.

Someone is burning around here (I'm surrounded by neighbours with wood stoves or fireplaces) and I have a massive headache from the smoke :(

In other news...201 total kms biked (I'm only two or three days from Calgary limits :) ) and the past 12 consecutive weeks I was out daily!!!!

Wish I could give two reactions. The first for the woodsmoke should be a :( while the second for the biking should be a :giggle:.

I've only had problems with woodsmoke in high concentrations, like being downwind of the fire at a campfire or in a wood-heated cabin with poor ventilation. The smoke we get in from the neighbours here is a problem for the smell but it doesn't give me headaches or irritate my lungs.

Cigarette smoke bother me more. And don't get me started on pipe smoke (I lived with a pipe smoker for the first 20 or so years of my life, until Dad finally quit in the eighties).

Interestingly, I can handle pipe smoke...smoke never used to bother me like this but the neighbour behind us had an outdoor boiler he rigged up one winter and he burnt anything and everything in it and all of us ended up very sick those winters, and ever since, I haven't been able to handle smoke since - while some smells better, it all gives me a headache now

Not sure if I mentioned anything about this yet - since I've been sick all weekend so a bit out of it - but we were to submit a sample of the writing we plan to use for our chapbooks and there will be time to read it for the class and discuss...since I'm up first, I submitted my item and was totally shocked that they posted a complete critique of the piece BEFORE they even knew what the context was, why I chose it and what my intent with the chapbook is...I did not ask for a critique (that was an option) but rather I asked a formatting question because of the nature of the articles. This is not a creative writing class where they give us a topic to write on and we're to bring something back to get feedback from the class...we were to bring a body of work already written (previously published or not)...so, I feel that their behaviour is out of line...and, it may be because I have been so sick, but I haven't calmed down enough to tell them politely I don't approve as I still want to tell them to shove off...the feedback itself is a mote point because it doesn't pertain to the actual purpose of the piece, and the teachers aren't the audience it is intended for so I see no reason to change it into something they can handle (screw them, it's not for them)...it's the principle of the way they handled this that upsets me.

went better than I expected...there was a perfect opening in the general conversation for me to bring it up and overall, everyone was blown away that I had the bravery to speak up...while the teachers didn't think they were out of line, after I actually read the piece and gave the real context (not their imagined one), they did admit that they did not have all the information and gave additional feedback that was much more helpful and actually answered my question (though they said the other feedback still stood :p) and it lead to deeper discussion than they had anticipated about being brave enough to speak up - verbally and in our writing.

Now to deal with the Bell bill - which is higher than a regularly monthly bill and higher than the penalty charges I had been told even with all the credits for cancelling mid-pay period...they sure want to get all the money out of you that they can!

I could not figure out why the Bell bill was so high...they seem to have clawed back the $23 credit they gave me!
