Well, for what it's worth, BA, I haven't left you yet.
Of course, I haven't arrived yet, either......

Trying to arrange for my sis to drive mom and I (plus sis and niece) to Camrose on Sat. for the Rancho Vignola nut/dried fruit sale and to go to the religious bookstore. Sis is willing to drive if those are the only stops as she has other plans later in the day...mom is being very uncooperative and adding more and more stops as there is no point making a trip to the city if you don't accomplish something. Hello! The sale and bookstore are the whole (and entire) point of the trip and will be our "accomplishment." LAST as I duck out of the battlefield.

Absolutely. In fact the bookstore in and of itself would be worth the drive (depending on exactly what 'religious' means... there are certain "Christian" bookstores that may not be worth walking down the block for).

This one is more than worth it...we've been shopping there for over 25 years...when we started, it was owned by a wonderful Lutheran couple. They retired a handful of years ago and it isn't quite the same atmosphere but definitely still worth it. Similar to Parables bookstores only an independent with a more intimate shopping experience.

Frosty the snowman was a major, jolly soul. With a corncob pipe and a button on his face and his followers were made of stone.

Heretic!!!! Fish is one of the finest, healthiest foods there is! If I was being executed, I'd choose it for my LAST meal!

(OTOH, why would I care if my last meal was healthy?)
True. For my last meal I might even consider poutine.

try telling your Mom BA that your energy only lets you stop twice and then you've had it. I take it that neither you nor your mom can drive that far?

Not only can I not drive with my injury, I won't be able to do much walking so that also limits what we can do. Should all work out. (fingers crossed)

Biggest problem is that I can't get a boot on my foot - we have a LOT of snow here and extreme windchills - as it is too much pressure on my toes.

no snow on the ground here in toronto. we've had a few fLurries, but nothing yet to breAk out the Snowshovel for. maybe Tomorrow?
