From previous investigations, it seems that Elon fell out of status and may have been deportable during the period when he dropped out of school to start a business. He eventually got back into lawful status and later got a green card.

Terror suspects are coming from Canada with 321 suspects on the Terror Watch List caught on the Northern border
compared to 46 on the Southern Border in Fiscal year 2024.

This is a prime example of Democrats going after anyone that opposes their politics.
I doubt the Democrats would ever go after Musk if he had supported Kamala.

But it's more about national security.
 
Trump wants to wield a big stick in preparation for the renegotiation of the USMCA.

Trump also demands that Canada spend more on defense.

Trudeau’s mass immigration policy, opened its doors to including criminals and terrorists who sometimes cross the border into the US.

I doubt that Canada keeping access to the US market is best served by getting into a commercial war and threats to retaliate.

SpaceX, which operates the Starlink service, works on classified government programs and is also the primary rocket launcher for the Pentagon and NASA.'

Was this a problem before he started working with the Trump campaign?

What does this have to to do with Canada keeping these people out of the US?
They have to go through AMERICAN customs to get in and if they can just walk over an unguarded border, then its the Americans that have to step up the game on their side, and vice versa for Canada.

Maybe Elon can invent an invisible fence for humans like we have for dogs....
