In conversation I heard a church story unlike any I've heard before. There is a church that is served by a legally blind priest. There was a baptism included in the service. When the priest needed to hold the baby at the font he couldn't find it. The godmother was wearing a cream coloured outfit, the baby was in white. This didn't give him enough contrast to see adequately. No doubt they got it sorted out and the deed done!

St John's Presbyterian in Grimsby had a legally blind minister a few years ago. Maybe he is still there, I am not sure. I watched one of his services on-line during the pandemic.

Can a rich man be happy in church if they dislike giving?

May go contrary to the comment in Corinthians about cheerful givers ...

On second thought ... does Trump look happy as a Christian?

There is a legally Blind minister Sharon Ballantyne. who recently preached at our church. She has a service dog. You can see her photo, and her dog, at the Extend the Table Project of the UCC.

My UU fellowship once had an interim minister who had a disability (CP, IIRC) and used a scooter. Led to some hasty renovations and some profound lessons in the real meaning of accessibility. She led us to some good, lasting changes and we were saddened when we heard that she passed away a few years ago. Never met a blind minister but it would be another learning opportunity, I suspect.
