Whether that is true is very dependent on your religious background. And family definitely still matters. I was raised in a religious household active in a church and the values I learned were to love all people. In the UCCan debate over ordaining openly gay persons as ministers, only one brother was actively opposed to their ordination, and he is now in a more conservative denomination. My parents and even my grandfather (who had been an ordained minister for 60+ years at that point) were fine with it and even spoke against the motion to block their ordination. Given that my brother and I were raised in the same household by the same people, I am not sure you can blame "religious indoctrination" for his attitude to LGBTQ. In fact, I would attribute my fairly open and tolerant approach to my liberal religious upbringing, at least to some degree. So religious indoctrination can blow both ways. It can support and encourage hatred, but it can also support and encourage more loving attitudes as well.
You probably noticed I did not specify any one religion or any religious person specifically, religious individuals only adhere to the tenets of their specific religion that suits them. And I agree family does still matter. I did not say it didn't. I said it was superseded by religion, religion has torn families apart, made parents shun there children.

When Jesus said the one who would be greatest must be servant of all, he implies an upside down kingdom. The reign of God is based on power for, not power over.
The whole sitting at the right-hand of the Creator suggests a rather less clear picture than this. That certainly sounds rather like a king on his throne with his advisors to either side.

True, but he presented a way of living contrary to what his followers knew or expected.
I agree, but my sense is that it was more about a Judaism that was less legalistic than the temple leaders were presenting, which would then reduce the power of those temple leaders. God's Kingdom would be a reign where the spirit, rather than the letter, of The Law is what would matter and God's will and judgement would triumph over the human judgement of people like the temple leaders and Roman authorities, not necessarily that there would not be a "king" in the "kingdom".

Religion ... naturally has a stoned wall character to it ... with vast implications dependant on which side of the wall you came from ...

There is a theory that as you cross the horizon there is a flip ... like the Fermi Enigma ... some say a strange paradox ... down all of a sudden is in the ups ... then Einstein made comments about this in abstract dimensions but few are curios about it and say Einstein was an insane scientist ... it is a firm if not pious mode of emotion!

It would all depend on powerful interpreters ... a Judy 'n Punch creating grapes of wrath ... due to legitimatized laws without much concern about the consequences of hard law ... tyrants like positions as law makers ... due to the avarice function that is like cancer and can screw folks into a position to say ph**k cancer ... it opens a pathway into Kadesh ... a Kush spot! Be the death of many soles as they alter in sacred marriage ... mythical? Jung speaks of it with other mystics ... few comprehend the concept of conjunction ...

I believe his ministry was more about how we relate to each other and God and our relationship with living. Do not worry. Work at healing relationships. Be free from control by attachments and from fear. Free ourselves from attachments to cultural beliefs that misrepresent reality such as people or yeast or weeds being unclean when all life is good to God. The reign of God or of heaven is one of mutually caring and supportive relationships from servant leadership to comradeship.

Auld stuff must be relinquished so as to place it in the unknown portion of a greater psyche than the mortal portion ... a dark enigma!

You've heard to expression of the great unknown being out there all alone? That's autonomy of the counter's ide ... isolated islanders!
