Sometimes, unsafe, I suspect you to be culpable of what your bible claims is the unforgiveable sin, which is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

What but blasphemy could it be for a human (unsafe) to make a pronouncement about another human's salvation (the late John Calvin's), without stating that one clearly knows the mind and intention of the Holy Spirit? You know for a fact that the soul of the late John Calvin burns in hell? And you appear eager and anxious to pronounce that judgment (if sheer word count is the indicator)? My heart, Bette, leans toward beauty, authenticity and grace. My convictions rest on God's sovereignty.

For me, my beliefs are about resting in something bigger than myself, trusting that even my weaknesses and doubts are held within God’s providence.

If anything, I’d rather my life reflect those beliefs' quiet fruit than a polished argument.

I like that this debate can be summed up as, "Is God mean for random reasons, or randomly mean for no reason?"

God’s actions, chansen, flow from His nature, which's goodness itself.

When life's harsh or confusing, it’s because He's weaving a story bigger than our immediate view.

Think of Romans 8:28, “all things work together for good for those who love God.”

That reframes pain. Suffering's not pointless. God's not capricious. He's consistently purposeful.

His sovereignty's deeply comforting because it means nothing happens outside His care
