Flipping the Switch

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

We are all togglers, learning to walk until we find our way to the Kingdom, understanding we are apart of it and not separate,

I see an image of a Ca Decius ... of course others are definitely opposed ... mostly because of the wiggly image ... animalistic?

The prophets used Eden to depict restoration. Jesus is restoration.

You are right --

The Prophets used Eden as a Prophetic SYMBOL OF restoration in the future describing the New Eden and people who will dwell in it -----and the only way to get there is by and through Jesus ---not Eden -----

AI Overview

In Old Testament theology,

the Garden of Eden is not merely a historical origin point but functions as the foundational archetype for paradise, serving as a prophetic template for the final, restored world in the New Testament.

The narrative moves from Eden lost in Genesis to Eden restored in Revelation, with prophets often painting the ultimate future of God’s people in Edenic imagery

Eden in the Old Testament is used as a prophecy for the new Eden:

It represents a "paradise" or "heaven on earth" functioning as a temple-like sanctuary of divine blessing. Following the Fall, it became a poignant, nostalgic symbol of lost innocence and a hope for future redemption -----

In essence, the Old Testament sets the stage by highlighting what was lost—perfect fellowship, access to the tree of life, and a safe, fruitful home—and prophets use this to promise a future, final redemption where these things are not just restored, but perfected.

Fulfillment in the New Eden (Revelation 21–22)

The New Testament picks up these Old Testament prophecies, culminating in the "New Jerusalem" of Revelation:
  • The Tree of Life: The tree of life, lost in Genesis 3, reappears in Revelation 22, bearing fruit for the healing of nations.
  • The River of Life: A river of life"clear as crystal" flows from the throne of God, echoing the water sources of Eden.
  • No More Curse: The "curse" (death, pain, separation) introduced in Genesis 3 is formally lifted in the new Eden (Revelation 22:3).
  • Garden-City Fusion: The new Eden is not just a garden but a "garden-city" (New Jerusalem), where the intimacy of the garden is combined with the secure, community-focused structure of a city.

We are part way as we have reunited ourselves with God but God has not yet returned to us other than within us.
Well we certainly disagree on that ----

What did Jesus say about parables and the people
Jesus spoke in parables and explained them to His Disciples ---and anyone who's heart was Open by the Father got the Spiritual message behind the words of the parable ----and Jesus knew who accepted His Father's drawing to accept the message ---and he knew who didn't --

why do people isnist that speaking in tongues is anything more than speaking the language of other nations as at the Pentecost?
According to scripture there is an angelic language as well ---

1 Corinthians 13

13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

I have the gift of tongues myself -----and have no idea if is of men or of angels --but I do know that it is powerful and delivers great peace when praying -----

Fruit is in realizing that the truth lies in Jesus' only gospel,
Well not quite in my book -----I agree that the truth lies in the Gospel of Christ ---- but fruits come from the Holy Spirit ---in my book ----

the Gospel of the Kingdom and may be found in theology and the institutional churches but which as you say, goes nowhere to help people understand God or His word -
Ya ----well I certainly agree with this statement ----very few Holy Spirit indwelled Ministers to teach the Spiritual meaning of the Word -----that is for sure-----

I follow the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Good to know ----

Of course in this day and age where 'self' has become so rampant, people are ignoring God or religion altogether and rebelling against the teachings of their ancestral lines, as self-entitlement rules the world and the chaos builds.
I agree with this your saying here for sure ------this world is in a mess --and we made it that way -----but the good thing is Jesus is coming back to fix it ----so eventually all the rebellion and chaos will be blown out of its socket ----

As it says in Revelation ----Jesus defeats Satan with a Blow of His breath -----one blow and it is all done ---

There is a notion that at some time in the future the entire world will become one large Eden. Eden comes from a Hebrew word meaning ultimately a pathway to perception of continuity/life. Jesus called Himself the path and entrance to the Kingdom. In other words, when Jesus said He and the Father were one, as we could be also, we are to reconnect ourselves to life, which always IS as our bodies and the seasons come and go. This, rather than disconnecting ourselves and seeing ourselves as separate from God, thus denying ourselves eternal life, being only dead ends. Eden of the future is anytime we reject our divisiveness and rejoin life, letting His Kingdom come and His Will be done, rejecting the temptations and evil that the selfishness of separation from Him/life brings.
Starting yet another thread to play the part of a mystic does not hide the fact that you have fled from every previous discussion where your logic was challenged. You speak of reconnecting to life and rejecting divisiveness, yet you have spent the last few days being a dishonest interlocutor, cherry-picking my words and moving the goalposts whenever you were cornered.

It is easy to preach about an Eden of the future while refusing to show basic integrity in the present. If you cannot answer for your own contradictions regarding human effort and worldly systems, then this talk of perception and continuity is just more spiritual posturing. You are trying to act as a teacher to the group, but you are the person who hasn't even read his Bible properly. No amount of new threads can cover for the fact that you are simply avoiding the truth of your own failures.

In a world of corruption does the worst offender accuse someone else to take the heat off?

One has to back off, stand down and take a low stance to look up at a mess about to befall us ... self-destructive ... mighty conned real clouds?

However ... who listens to the phi Li beans ... rampant leaders? These are out and about ... unleashed!

Fruit is in realizing that the truth lies in Jesus' only gospel, the Gospel of the Kingdom and may be found in theology and the institutional churches but which as you say, goes nowhere to help people understand God or His word ------it is just a bunch of NOISE
Wow! That surprises me that you are here complaining about NOISE, given that you have spent the last few days creating nothing but a repetitive, contradictory racket to avoid answering for your own lack of integrity. You dismiss established theology as noise while you scramble from one thread to the next, cherry-picking my words and failing to defend your own basic scriptural claims.

If you are looking for the source of the NOISE that prevents people from understanding the truth, you need only look at your own behaviour. You are the one who has turned this entire discussion into a series of evasions and logical dead ends. It is difficult to take your critique of institutional churches seriously when you cannot even maintain a single coherent argument for more than two posts without running away. Stop the evasions and finally answer the questions you have been dodging for days.

In looking down on others, they fail to see the One truly in charge up above, while those at the bottom have not the spare change for the troll bridge..

Where is the harm in creating new branches in an otherwise dying tree known as the forum of religion and faith?

Even Robin and Little John played it out on a log ... under the shade of the forests of what someone believed to be Avalon ... I forget who took the Dunkin?

Was it a story or just light as Mith Ra's ? In the background the base of Marioneted logic ... and they slept on it ... the Shadow that is ... it just is and there' little that can be done about it! Opposed was the wayward one ...
