No, no problem with unplugging, but I seriously cannot turn my work computer off. It’s been for three months now. I turn it off every day and I come back in the morning and it’s turned on. I suspect there is an updated program that does that. But once in a while, it is not turned on. First I thought that someone is using it at night. Must be either a cleaning person or a security guard because they would have a key. But it happens too often for that. They do have different shifts.
One of the IT people I asked said that his son’s laptop does that , too, but he didn’t bother to fix it for me ( and this was not the reason he was there, so he was busy with something else.
It annoys me, because I want to save the power. We have two more computers in the room and they don’t do that. Since you have to put you log in name in and it would show a different name when I come in the morning, I don’t think that that’s it.

Thus unseen interference as the others look into your world unsuspecting ... well some expect nothing! There's always something weird and thus alien passions i.e. strangelove? Further questions go on and on ...

Seems like your IT people need to look at it more closely. My first thought would be that "Wake on LAN" is enabled, i.e. if something on the network attempts to connect to it, it turns on. Not a setting that's normally turned on but perhaps so they can do overnight updates or if the computer shares resources (e.g. a printer) with others in the room. That setting in the BIOS is probably the first thing I would check, at any rate if I have eliminated any possible Windows-level causes. Though if I am IT in that hospital, I should already know if that's enabled, really.

I was reading today that AI infested a secure system of a tech company. I don't know whether this is true but some say AI is truer than people who design corrupt platforms ... for purposes that the simple will not understand ... thus the urge to cut down all trees of knowledge ... and thus a Forest Gump!

One must read into such dark and shady castings ...
