LOL. You're talking to the guy who did a sermon based on Socrates (who famously taught that self-knowledge) in a Christian pulpit (and later revised it for a UU service). It was more on the "unquestioned life is not worth living" than specifically "know thyself" but the two are closely related. So the church found out in my case.I am a becoming member of the 'Know Thyself' congregation.

And to save me a post, I'll just stick this here. Maybe I don't need to say it, but this is obviously not a set scripture like the Biblical canon, but something that can grow and change with our lives
@WhyCzar ... consider That Zoe, or "Su" once meant the animal ... perhaps the beast within ... attempting to break free of the bondage of emotionalism.
On top of that a purely opposite that was a creature of intellect trying to break in ... what keeps them from fusing?
There a third part of tall, thin nature delicate and fragile ... have appreciation for the 3rd part for something of great consequence might come forth ... far out resolution far from the embattled earth?
Tell me about genre of the story again ... somewhat shimmery and dark, mysterious as Ciel ... power fears resting under it ...
Then there is The Prayer and the French Song ... read the lyrics closely and intimately ... there is something of adept there ... but yet unfolded ... the future?
Wouldn't it be grand to have a vision of that while your flock is stuck presently? Some poles are positive and some negative ... fusion allows then to calm after the fireworks ... like a power off the mountain then the mystery is initiated ... of how you are contributed to it ...
There are pros and there are cons as it is too complex for those that do not wish to understand ... caldron roils ... the vessel has its own recycled energy ... how?
It is a mystery ... of ultimate dynamics ...

One can see how the chaos of love in small doses give the mind, soul, psyche syndrome a break.

The core of my faith is mysticism. I mostly use concepts and words from my Christian faith seeing these as approximations of my experiences as ways to integrate my experiences into my living.
This to me is a wonderful expression of the mystery of the nature of God as of multiple elements that create an enigma for those that believe one image will serve and it has to be hard-set, concrete and all that ... nothing diffuse that could pass through difficult barriers ... this essence may behave like a story, legend, ballad that you cannot put your finger on but depends all around consideration because of its eclectic manner (dispersed)!
Alas too many have god isolate in a box, bois, boite, jar, or other container ... and in there the rub ... about the garden ... metaphor or what ... shadow prevail ... and support partisan ...
This is a storied manifestation from nature ... instead of stone edifice ... in case you go down in the wood today ... life there is complex ... as it is within ... no simple cures ... as posed by marketeers ... Og, or Ogee a hollow ... score? What can be extracted is phenomenal ... from a slab of stone, water, air and internal heat ... mortal thing? Yet warm blooded ... because of multiple relations and complex alchemy ... not just unchangeable ... is there a point to it?
