unsafe says -----your playing the blame game here ------it is the view of God that people condemn themselves for their lack of knowledge and by their own words ----this is all Scriptural ---you and others condemn the people who believe the word and speak the truth
Yes, I know that you have scripture to support your point of view. We have been over this many times.

Allow me to clarify that I am condemning no one. Nor am I playing any blame game.

Christians have different ways of reading & understanding the bible, that's all. You and I demonstrate this quite well on the gospel threads.

And please do not tell me I have not accepted Jesus. If you would like to point out that you and I have accepted Jesus in different ways, I will have no quarrel with that.

I know you believe you are the one who has it right. So be it.

Take responsibility for our own rejection of the Word -----and our unbelief that the Word is truth as it says it is --

People here are not necessarily rejecting God or God's word. They are rejecting your interpretation of it and your dictates. Your limited interpretation does disservice to the spirit and faith. Repeatedly insulting others and judging are sure signs of troll behaviour

The worldly interpretation is not From God ----it is of the world -----and comes from the god of this world who is Satan ---who blinds the minds of the unbelievers so they don't see the light of the scripture ------

Yes we know that. It is you, not God judging here. Your worldly view and interpretation blinds you. I don't see any light on your soul at all. All I see is judgemental troll

The command “Get behind me, Satan,” spoken to Peter by Jesus, is recorded in Matthew 16:23 and Mark 8:33. “Get behind me, Satan” seems harsh and out of character for Jesus, especially when addressing Peter, one of His most devout disciples. Why did Jesus say this? What was it Peter did to deserve such a rebuke?

paradox3 ----your quote -----Agreeing when it comes to the connection between what is in the heart and what comes out of the mouth.

unsafe says ----don't get to comfortable with your agreeing there oaradox3 ----this is the first part of that scripture ----you see--- you speak unbelief of the scripture so your really saying you believe not in Jesus as Jesus is the Word of the scripture ----The Word became Flesh remember -----

Yeah, and as it has been said on this thread before, the fruits of the spirit ( which would be found in one’s heart- metaphorically) are kindness, patience, love and self control and a few more. Which I have observed in this thread from everyone of the people replying to your answer, but not in what you are posting. Makes me wonder if you are really writing from your heart or out of your brain ( metaphorically speaking).

Wouldn't a 'worldly interpretation' be something like ripping Job 15:6 completely out of context, and trying to give it a meaning the original author never intended it to have?

Please explain.
I think she is trying to say she is shouldering the burden for whoever else we might gossip about. Though unsafe is following along on the thread she started. Right, unsafe? We're just referring to you in the third person because engaging with you directly is futile. Not because we're trying to gossip.

Though, I think it means she's distracting us from more important things. She's actually tempting us away, not toward, the gospel truth, imo... Look how much energy gets expended just on arguing about who's a true Christian. She's the boss...at getting everyone's feathers ruffled over nothing.

This is Matthew 16: 21- 23

Jesus Foretells His Death
21 [i]From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples [clearly] that He must go to Jerusalem, and endure many things at the hands of the elders and the chief priests and scribes (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court), and be killed, and be raised [from death to life] on the third day. 22 Peter took Him aside [to speak to Him privately] and began to reprimand Him, saying, “May God forbid it! This will never happen to You.” 23 But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on things of God, but on things of man.”

The scripture answers your question ------23 But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on things of God, but on things of man.”

unsafe says -----you have to know how Satan works -----and what God has allowed Him to do in this world ---Satan can only get into the mind and cause a thought that contradict what the word says -------Jesus came to shed His Blood and die on the Cross and Peter should have known that this was suppose to be the way it is -----Satan didn't want Jesus to die on the Cross because Satan knew it would be the end of his domination on this earth ----So who's thoughts did Satan attack -----the most beloved Disciple -----and Jesus knew who was behind the thinking of even questioning God's plan ------it wasn't Flesh and Blood Peter that said that -----it was the influence of Satan in getting Peter to question the Plan -----Remember Eve --Satan said ----you surly won't die -----

It is no different today ---Satan can only attack the person's mind to speak against the Word ----you win or loose the Battle in the mind there Ritafee ----what thoughts will you entertain today ----Satan wants you on his side and God wants you on His side ----we choose -----

Know your enemy and how he works his tangled web in our thoughts -------

Satan's Only Job on this earth is to Keep all the people he can from asking ---seeking and knocking on God's Door --and God has given him permission to do that ----without Satan there would be no choice -----there would be only God and His way and we would all be puppets ----and BECAUSE God Loves us He wanted to give us the option of picking a side

What Greater Love is there than that ----God didn't have to do that for us ------and He gives us the way of escape of the Battle we have in our minds -----So what Greater Love can He show ------But Satan will work just as hard as he can to keep you chained to him ----it takes hard discipline to stay the course ------

Oh, I looked up the verse to see it in context before I posted about it. As usual, we are reading and interpreting scripture differently. Let's leave it at that.
