Curfews and lock ups ... are they the result of someone else's insecurity about someone doing to them what they were thinking of doing first?

Imagine such insecurity in high unstable spots! Seem a bit cloudy ... like smoke and mire ... expect sooties ... so Odeis ... odious fear of nothing? That is the abstract ... few understand abstract and incompletion ... but one could say without proper feedback ... it is not over yet. Prepare for the streak and flash ...

Thank god I can say this so few understand the satyr of a hedonistic item up my r's! I feel the urge to laugh so hard I'd near crap ... if I didn't I'd cry! The darkness of SOL syndrome ... that vacant situation when you know there's nothing there ...

Just look into the eyes ... and there is often no spark ... of any hue ... stoics will tell me I'm wrong ... incessantly! That's determination ...

This is about my personal experience in the times of Carona ... It is about all the people in the world that I care about. The ones that I cared about before the Corona ... I care about even more now. I do not have any problems keeping up with my nearest and dearest. On every thread I am told to go somewhere else with my worldviews. Perhaps what you are trying to say in a round about way is that my personal worldview ... is really not welcome in any thread on this forum. In the other thread that you have directed me to ... I have been criticized for pointing out that there is a whole lot more wrong with the world than 'the corona virus'. Basically I was shunned for talking about such things over there as well. No matter. I will post as I post and whosoever wishes to ignore my posts or ban them entirely I will leave up to the discernment of the 'authorities on such matters here'. I do not care to talk about my personal rather insignificant hardships in light of this 'pandemic'. I consider myself a citizen of the world and keeping in touch with what is happening in the rest of the world makes my 'personal' trials seem rather insignificant.

Rita, maybe it isn’t quite clear where your quote end and your personal opinion starts, but looking at your last three posts #57 #59 and #60, it seems to be all quotes from someone else. And while you are absolutely right about these being shocking issues, I just wanted to ask you to keep the info and the personal separated. Since there are two Corona threads with two different characters, this one being more of a personal kind, that shouldn’t be that hard. It just makes more of a continuity. But- of course, do as you please, you could also put movie recommendations i to the music thread or recipes into the games thread. I know you don’t like to be told anything.
Since it is easy to get two similar threads mixed up, I thought you might have done that.
If you like to express your personal concern, of couse there would be space in this thread- but I am missing the “ personal” in you endless quotes. It seems to me you very rarely say what all this information actually causes you to do. ( other than posting it here on WC).
 
To be honest, it was a post by JRT that kind of started the ball rolling but, yes, it would be nice if posts in this thread were people's own feelings and experiences in people's own words instead of rehashed news stories, sometime uncredited. I have to agree that we need at least one COVID thread that is about people's personal experiences and activities, not news stories.
 
It is my personal experience that this constant talk of corona virus to the exclusion of all else is driving me to the brink of suicide. Then I read articles about those who it is affecting not much different than their usual oppression and I think to myself ... what a wonderful world!
 
OK - I'll toss in some words about my corona event. My daughter is finally home after being quarantined on a cruise ship for more than a month. She then flew back to Canada and was, of course, in quarantine again! She got retested for covid a couple of days ago and was released when her test was negative. YAY!
 
Multiline perspectives are outlandish ... although God's perspective is said to be many faceted! One liners can't deal with schitz ... as fecund for thought in the literary sense! Thus Eris the dissonant daughter ... bubbling away ... on the back burner? If I sent Eros to you ... what then if the personal and intellectual is skewered, bifurcated ... is that divine war?

Thus schitz takes off ... it flies in the positive and negative Zoans ... an expression from the subcontinent ...

It is great - and important too! Tonight would be my usual gathering with my beloved women's euchre group - haven't met since Feb :-( and some were away even before that. BUT - I just got a zoom invitation for euchre happy hour! Can't wait to see everyone!!
 
This zoom thing is a mixed blessing. i) have to have a decent spot, and a decent top, handy, in the right place. ii) the dog, especially, and sometimes the cat, need to be excluded from the meeting. "Outside" and "locked in a room" have limited shelf lives.
 
We had a fun gathering - and as you say Bette - not all are created equal to the task & location. One of our less techie people got her dtr to connect up her phone for her to zoom - she walked about & went out for a smoke - and then dropped the phone - which somehow put it into "safe driving mode" - so that eliminated the video & she had no idea how to fix it LOL. She eventually got back on - guess dtr came to the rescue again! Another put us on hold for a bit as she started the call in audio only - said she was talking to us from her watch LOL. So when she came on in video we all held our wrists up to our mouths - spy style - and said hello to her as if we were talking via our watches. Was funnier than it sounds. Lots of news to catch up on, some rants, some politics, lots of laughing, shared drinks & popcorn :-)
 
Thank you @Mrs.Anteater & @Mendalla . I was about to join in to respond to conversations re isolation, then got hit with those long texts of articles. My next thought was to give this thread as an example of what drives me away. Your responses, and the thread coming back on track brings me hope.

@PilgrimsProgress , I have been busy with our congregation, setting up online meetings, worship, then coffee/social time, and bible study. We have a good portion of folks participating. I am curious, is that available to you from either of the churches that you went to?
Also, we are in the process of figuring out what tablets to get and what internet access to provide for those who don't currently have access.
I may post something about it .

I am finding myself way to busy with congregational stuff, due to the noise of covid-19. May you live in interesting times, right?

Hello Pinga, good to see you pop in. Would love to hear how the ipad thing goes. Our hospital also has come up with ipads for communication, but what I have heard so far, its not going that great. One thing, the internet is not good everywhere in the building, the other, people have trouble using it and need a volunteer to help them all the time

Hey Bette - have you seen the zoom 'backgrounds' that are being posted on fb and elsewhere? In a call yesterday, I noticed a couple of people using fav photos as their backdrop. Me, I'm nosy, so I like to see where people are locating themselves LOL

That's one of the things I find lacking in MS Teams vs. Zoom. Right now, you can only use their canned backgrounds unless you copy a file to a very specific (and normally hidden unless you know Windows really well) folder. Whereas Zoom makes it fairly easy to create a custom background. Apparently, MS is including custom backgrounds in an upcoming update.
