I wonder about that, too. Trying to act tough and be in control, I would assume, as military types and Pete Hegseth seem to like doing.
 
The question of religious freedom compared to religious exemption comes to ... what doe it really mean in the great sea of beliefs?

Then one is shoved down you throat that is essentially hostile and hurts ... thus one learns about believing in uncertain things and moves towards questioning the oddity ... somethin much larger than mortals ... not locked up in a water closet! But if the earth is like a Christal globe or glass aye ...

Well, except that if you join the military, you are automatically agreeing to murder anyone (albeit of another country) that your bosses deem murderable. I don't know how murdering a co-worker is different, if so ordered.

What if, since war was never declared, and the *public* execution was never authorized by congress, the personnel was never charged with accepting this in their "job description". One objection was of a father who didn't want his kids to know about it.

Nuance here, perhaps. Maybe only the members of the MP (those who have implicitly agreed to discipline co-workers) should be compelled to murder those co-workers?

Every soldier, Bette, is a human being bearing God's image, with fears. Hopes. Virtues. Flaws. Reasons for being there.

Some are motivated by noble things. Some by selfish things. Most by a blend of both. That's true of soldiers. The same holds true for ministers. The same holds true for us ESL teachers

Is teaching a noble thing if the topic is warped with unknow content that remains silent throughout the etude ... like a night under the stars? The mystery thus fell upon us when the light went out ... where does light go during that time? Wasn't that a time sang the man about TGIF ... while others were doing nothing but eating and consuming ... until later ... when the fertilizer cycle starts up ... like the guano fortune that was in the Caribbean. There's a story that's smelly ... and yet remains rich! Proving?

That sometimes things are not all that perfect ... and demands are lodged ... to maintain life cycles!

Thinking takes data into a difficult place ... but a myth is more effective ... efficient? Nobody knows as thought is scarce in a sea of emotion ... turbulent ... expect strange factors like Reynolds #'s! They have significant unknown implications ... especially in erosion and corrosion of what is ... and washes away ... eddy devices ...

I do declare that all signs indicate that god is beyond human understanding leaving two potentialities open.

I won't venture there ... just yet ... I still had some items to absorb ... from the world of chaos ... religious solidity can do it ... for nothing is learned or gained as declared for improvement here ... maybe in the fire tender's domain ... Daniel? The only one with adequate abilities for the cooking ... but often mistaken as Pede did ... the venerable Bede ... said to be a teacher and thus like a rabi ... metaphorical repetition ... because real people just do not like intellect ... its unreal ... from their perspective ... a grand story ... to be "tolled" is questionable also! Fluid evolves ... as if rung ...

Tome tolling requires input ... God's people may fill your head with such ... expect deviations and schisms ... pious fracture?

The older I get, Luce, the more convinced I am that half the Christian life's being cheerfully ambushed by providence.

The THOR-HAMMER INCIDENT's a moment where God says, "You'd a plan. That's adorable."

We call it getting bumped off course. He calls it Tuesday!

Not one gust escapes God's decree. Complete sovereignty and complete surprise somehow coexist.

So if you've been knocked off the line, you haven't lost your assignment

That's a duality ... counter to the one way entity! Another theory shot as a Bull or Canon ... all is theory and thus as an 80 year old scholar I submit ...

Perhaps why some types of God blew it ... now departed ... gone ... like life as we know it when hard Christians rule like they did during Inquisition ... it was a waste ...

If no mention was made of the public viewing would this particular murder have gotten any attention at all, I wonder.

Perhaps, given that it is the first U.S. military execution by firing squad since 1945.

Because the execution involves active-duty combat soldiers being detailed to serve on the firing squad against a fellow service member,

US Military Archbishop Broglio specifically urged Catholic service members to request to be excused from the firing detail on grounds of

conscience and Church doctrine.

From an operational standpoint, combat soldiers possess the marksmanship, weapons handling, and tactical discipline required to carry out

a firing squad procedure cleanly and professionally.

Should voluntarily enlisted soldiers fulfill assigned details regardless of - or be exempted from due to- personal or religious reservations?

That is the question.

Do criminal activities and thoughts need to be restricted regardless of how the corrupt wishes to push liberality in their direction ... while extracting it from the prayed upon? Therein an unbalanced advantage is noted ... and the tree becomes cranked ... like a real witches broom ... clean sweep ...

The are prime positions for these twisted trees ...
