Anyone else ever watched Backrooms videos on YouTube? It is a wonderfully weird thing that first appeared on 4Chan, then made its way to other social media. It presents a weird "liminal space", a maze of (mostly but not always) yellow walls in which weird things are found and monsters lurk. Kane Parsons, a teenaged filmmaker took the idea and ran with it, making a series of viral videos about the backrooms. And then production company A24 signed Parsons to turn it into a movie. To the surprise and delight of many, the movie is topping the box office, becoming A24's fastest top grossing movie. The kicker? They signed Parsons when he was 17 and he is now 20. Youngest director ever to top the box office. Nice way to kick off a career, too. Apparently the original videos' popularity among millennials and Gen Z is getting a lot of the credit for the film's success.

I first came across the backrooms phenomenon a few years back. Spent a day or an evening or something watching backroom videos, including Kane Parsons (he goes by Kane Pixels on YouTube) work. He used the Unreal engine or similar (a popular graphics engine for games), I think. Never dreamt it would be a successful movie or produce one of the first successful directors of Gen Z.

Obsession, another recent success based on Internet viral content, is also directed by a Gen Z'er who started out on YouTube.

In real life I've encountered that in several systems of belief in ungoverned business forces ... like Speakeasy ... imagine corrupt spirits as symbolic for coopted point that was being made. Could we label it metaphor ... that's of things in a parallel dimension where destroying the adjacent soul is just fine?

Some would call it a paranormal experience as simple thought that stinks ... associated with complexity of Sophia ... the profound and fey ephemeral type? Mated with that ... perhaps batfish ... my sole! Diverse ... wild mental excursions? A return to sauvasii! It is a cruel reversal to Swastika as reflection of brutality coming off the wall ... bad reflection?

Humanity is ofttimes ugly but in the core something to harvest and refine down ... rendering? Were we addressed about human flaming? Imagine the gold and silver extractions ... as other parts go ... recycle or resurrection? Do we know about these things as all in the family (story, myth)? Integration after a separate time ...
