Those are not organized groups, though. They are points of view that could contain multiple organized groups and individuals who are not part of a group. For instance, s far as I know, @chansen is not a card carrying member of any groups, just a person who professes an atheist philosophical position.

And, as always, agnostic is not automatically atheist. There's overlap, but agnostic is about philosophical certainty, not belief. One can attend a church and believe in God but be agnostic in that you cannot prove your belief objectively. Or one can be uncertain whether there is a deity(ies).

Atheism starts with "there is no God/gods".

Agnosticism starts with "we cannot be sure and cannot prove with certainty the existence of God/gods whether we personally believe or not."

Beyond that, both are highly diverse and mostly unorganized in my experience.

I am an agnostic and not an atheist, though I am not a believer in a traditional monotheistic God either. More of a seeker who might find something someday.

Its a really curios perspective given the belief in nothing and the trouble encountered maintaining such a state:

• No Matter; zero, pure vacuum
• No Heat, zero temperature, travels with difficulty when there is nothing there
• No light: ignoring the previous as there is no energy along with the conflict of trying to pass light through a solid mass!

Leads to an extensive conflict and perhaps why light gets heated when it falls on something rather than nothing as a hole in something carries light for an indefinite measure. My mostly illiterate grandfather may have had something up his sleeve when he said love was like nothing ... and may provide cause to question such deficient conditions ... as in the question: "where did God go?" Don you hate such proposals that are hard to answer?

Thus God says hide & seek ... and there they are off seeking a way to close the gap ... a rapture! May resonate with the London Ripper ... and so it goes 'd ... as chaos as when God himself recorded with Moses ... set nothing of this sort in front of me ... thus the wake as nothing more ... c'est fini? After that a mind emptying event on the side hill ... lo' slide ... clay Mon tine! Go figure on Mon as 1 being chaste! Suited that Clements chap on satyr in the mid east ...

Is there a community for people who don't play tennis? Where is the community of non-gardeners? Of non-redheads?

The reason atheists form any organizations at all is to push back on the agendas of religious communities. Atheism, as a movement, is a reaction largely to Christianity's efforts in multiple political areas, such as health care, education, reproductive rights, marriage rights, taxation, etc.

When Christianity stops telling people who they can marry, or when they can have an abortion, or which schools get funding, there will be no need for atheist groups of any kind. As it is, they hardly exist. Where are the signs? Where are the offices? Are we like Antifa? Everywhere and nowhere at once?

As Mendalla wrote, I am part of no atheist community. I do not wish to become part of one. I can think of no more boring thing to do than stand around in a circle with other atheists until someone mutters, "Okay, so we all don't believe. What now?"

But mortals, as professed humanists, always protest everything and thus nothing slips by them in their impression! It is why nothing declares that mortals must go and thus they move on ... well, motivated? Deeply so as if in hole in material ... they just aren't as defined by the word incarnate. Geez ... what are you trying to do ... break up the community of anon's ... just as they were getting tuit? What tuit? Thats alternate like settin ego against the alter ego that was set against knowing anything in ... the primary? Thus one can lump those that form communities and those that don't into sectors ... the un community one's are more like bosons as they ride in empty space with little mass and absent of heavy messages or any such touch and thus pass quickly with the vagas of quis ... Thus the Vagas Syndrome was conceived and no one understood ... allowing for illogic to slip into the place called sacred and something came 4-th because there were no superscripts at that age.
