In fairness, that wasn't an option provided, which makes it sound like you're ducking the question. The options were "rape your wife, or rape you." I assume the point of the question is how far would you go to protect the ones you love.
In all honesty - none of us can be absolutely certain unless faced with the situation. The most I can say is that I hope (and believe) that I would choose to save my family. I also hope I will never face that test.

Well when you think about it, Jesus always preached through example. He didnt live a double life. He mixed with societys undesirables, He touched the sick, the lepers and touched the dead. Big taboos in those days. He also asked us to forgive our enemies, which He did on the cross.
In the sermon on the mount He raised the bar on what love and mercy should look like. Most of what he asked is beyond what most humans are capable of but still He asked us to follow.
He asks us to forgive everyone, and by doing that we are forgiven also. This is how Gods Kingdom will come.

I do not like the word worthy. It still sounds like we have to do something, that we are born indebted. Nobody chose to be born. I prefer the word entitled. YES. We are entitled to unconditional love because you are a human and you are beautiful and the only thing that made you ugly is the broken world we were born into.

I am not a fan of the mantra that we owe God anything and t adds to the ridiculousness of what religion is. He chose to die on the cross, not me and he made this universe, not me.
