Threads about the United Church of Canada
When my former UCC amalgamated, out of the five churches one stayed a church for the remaining congregation, and they added to it using the money from the sale of the others, one did turn into an independent community church, one turned into a brewery/ pub and one, I believe was purchased and turned into a boarding place for seasonal workers.
Oh, and one turned into a community hub, with the sanctuary becoming the town library.

That's the kind of thing we tend to see around here, too. Repurposing the building, at least for older, historical ones should be the preferred option. Modern churches like Siloam wouldn't be missed if they got razed, though. You can barely even tell some of them are churches. Siloam could pass for a school if it wasn't for the huge cross on the roof.

Sometime it is regarded as reasonable and other times given the situation it is not regarded as logos or worth additional word as the structure is beyond repair and relief ... when a structure is shorted in it s construct ... the options as limited and cannot be seen ... thus un regarded?

Hard to see such things pass I understand ... but even I ... have to go sometimes as life is very demanding ... thus I hope to rest clear of the disturbance ... a wild stir? Brain storms that are denied ...

Do you suspect descent of thought as formerly raised ... by transparent powers teasing it out from where it was in ... innate vs extant!

Clear domains are disturbing to those shaded in bodies of curiosity ... curios? What was that alien item ...

It might give them public money to preserve them?
It might, no tin the amount that is needed (as far as I have heard from various places across the country). Historic status is, at best, a mixed blessing -- often it is as chansen suggests an encumbrance on what can be done.

I've experienced that first hand ... especially when historical encombrances are placed with poor fore thought ... or if you don't believe in it ... no thought whatsoever ... illogos?
