Generally, polytheistic, pre-Christian/Islamic faiths and their modern survivals and revivals (Wicca, for instance, is revival). It is derived from the Latin for "country" due to the fact that pagan practices continued in rural areas even as Christianity came to dominate in cities.

If the psyche is a mythological critter ... how would an individual trade information on the cognizance of soul ... through Sufis?
Are these parallel metaphors to Cabals and Kabala? Unraveled could the threads extend for some time and distance ... like "Dad are we there yet?" In East Africa these may be understood as "jiv" essence of the towns of Dar es Salem ... or Daress Alem ... challenge to the heart as mental conflict?
