That may have been a factor but, honestly, I'm betting some church admin types saw the budget for the upgrade, went pale, and that's when the theological part came in. "Why are we paying for this open religious discussion thing again?" sort of thing.

Oh, I'm aware. That's one reason I've always maintained that the social media side of the church is completely useless. They made the thing way too complex, put themselves in a position where some Internet company had them over a barrel, and they pulled the plug because they had no money, or even desire, to keep it going when the upgrade quotation came. Open theological discussion leads to...wait for it...open theological discussion. When you're a church, that's not good. Paying to host it? Ha.

I get hallucinations. Not because I'm nuts or anything. I was astounded when they started but got an explanation right away from my friendly optometrist. These hallucinations originate in the bra in response to failing eyesight. It is called the Charles Bonnet Syndrome and cab be quite amusing. Once I saw a pair of shoes walking down the road!

I hope Chansen sees this ... it rather well outlines the out of body incident (OBI). I talked to my optician about this yesterday and how the vision can be affected by swings in hormones, steroids and other kinds of extracts derived from vegetation ... think opioid for instance. That plant has a large reputation ... as did fennel family of greenery in the not distant past! Consider the effect of anise and liquorice on folk if overdone ...
