We're never winning a traditional war against the U.S. We don't need the most amazing stealth aircraft. We need reliable planes and a quantity of aircraft to cover fast areas. We don't design them here anymore, so we need to buy them from a reliable partner that doesn't even pretend they want to annex us. If we build some planes or parts here, even better.

Kitchener Ontario:
Magellan Aerospace...specializes in 5 axis titanium and hard metal machining for landing gear and airframe components.
They manufacture landing gear and wing fuselage components, including titanium parts for the F-35 fighter jets.
They are the first non- USA supplier to deliver F-35 parts.

Nearby in Cambridge:
Heroux-Devtek, builds large complex landing gear systems for Boeing 777 and777x aircraft.

There are actually 10 Innovative Aerospace companies taking off in Waterloo right now.
I'm sure there's probably other places in Canada too....if so, maybe we could build some fighter planes planes?
 
there are these super cute little trucks for sale at some small dealership up the highway from me.
I haven't looked at them, but, I was thinking how much I loved my mazda pickup. Handy for all sorts of items. Maybe something to consider when i replace my current vehicle
 
Things are not well with the world if somebody like waterfall is talking about increasing our supply of fighter jets vs buying them from China. It doesn’t look good for the future, either way.

I always remember that Vietnam held on (with help) against the USA because they knew how to fight on their own Terrain; look at Ukraine with Russia; and then there are the smaller countries that have held back the big guy just by being prepared.
I don't want to see war either...but Trump is Caligula on Steroids, if he isn't stopped if he makes a move. Or he could be relying on intimidation.

Why is he still there? Because of some high level performative bulls**t? It doesn’t make sense - everybody can see it. He shouldn’t be in office so we shouldn’t be fighting Caligula. I think the powers want a war.

We're due to add a vehicle as Claire needs one. Could be this summer. Hopefully we can hold off a while.

If I had to buy a car today, it would probably be a mid size SUV in EV form. That would take my wife to work and do most of the cottage commutes. We'd charge at home and cottage almost 100% of the time. 90% at night when electricity is cheap.

Claire would take the 10 year old hatchback.

He’s probably relying on intimidation. But the response is gearing up with war machines, and siding with equally sinister regimes. That’s not a good response.
 
my son's bmw suv is 10 years old, my bmw sedan is 8 years old, just thinking a pickup or suv suits my current needs...probably suv as i am concerned about safety with grandkids in backseat.

anyhow, back to china imports, will be interesting to see what they bring in.

I don't drive much, so, not sure if would be logical for me.
 
We have so much to learn but overall we believe:

We know it all ... but knowledge is distributive ... kind of disseminated!

Maybe a stage we're in?
