Don't be mean, kimmio. Not necessary and doesn't belong in the room.

*Bette adds an assortment of leftover Christmas goodies to the table.

Plan to begin de-decorating this afternoon.

I can picture the spiritual stripping down ... and thus naked soul! It may happen on our escape ,,, but I am no more sure of that than human friendship ... all relations up for sale! I was told that everything is for sale and thus the God-Jesus market ... I find it humbling given the ultimate narrative ... it goes about! Peddling like ET ... star chamber myth ... something to dust off anew!

It is a rarely grasped or gripped ... like get a hold on your's elf ... your being counter to I and me ...Pan Dor Emique? Just more pu Kaye ... "pu' must be examined ...

Good morning! Sunday has arrived. One day closer to springtime! Comparing December snowfalls, cooking with beans more in the hew year, finishing the taking down of holiday decor, and whatever else pops into mind, it comes with us to the Coffee Cart, to sort it all out. We converse, support, and connect with each other over coffee, tea, and baked goodies. Today the Baker has provided various squares and brownies for our enjoyment. All is ready, all are welcome! Come in and join in the fun!

New years resolution- I would like to cook more with beans and others- so far, the need for planning ( soaking) was hindering me…thinking about getting an instant pot…
I rarely soak beans. I tend to rinse them and cook slowly while adding moisture as needed. Crock pot works fine for this. Once done I often freeze them in small containers for future use.

For meals like chili or minestrone soup, I just used canned beans. Rinse them under cold running water and you're good to go!

Never been a big fan of the homemade baked beans with brown sugar, molasses, etc. Actually I was rather surprised when I first encountered them.

In my family, baked beans meant a can of Clark's original recipe. I still buy them once in a while.

I haven't done anything with beans in a while. We use chickpeas in a salad but that liquid doesn't have the thickness of the liquid that comes with beans. It's basically chickpea-flavoured water. I think we used to drain beans when we used them (unless the recipe called for using the liquid) but I don't recall rinsing them.

Commercial and mechanized beans are always better removes the vernacular need to know about how to do it ...

Thus the Jack syndrome ... variously mist!

The very odd time I use tinned beans, I rinse them, largely to reduce sodium.

Mrs.A, I think you would make very good use of an Instant Pot. I love mine, and use it often. I made pulled pork and chickpeas for hummus yesterday and I'll use the slow cook function to reheat the pork for dinner tonight.

We're finally having our cancelled Christmas meal, and figuring everyone is tired of ham and turkey and excessive amounts of cheese, my menu is summer themed. Pulled pork, coleslaw and potato and composed salads, with lemon meringue pie for dessert.

I love mine, and use it often.
My wife uses it just for making pork broth for cooking. Gets some soup bones from the butcher counter at one of the Asian groceries, 20 minutes in instant pot with water, then strips the meat off the bones and freezes it and the broth.

Imagine a missal stewing there to allow for boned points ... metaphorical?

Then there is that movie about bone temples ... temporal? Much is lost in the twist said sometimes to be mental iron ...

Talking about snow: this is a picture my brother-in-law took as he walked his dog on the sidewalk in front of our place. And it is not the first year we have experienced tunnel sidewalks. The openings you see are driveways, and you can imagine how treacherous it is to get out onto the street with such icebergs blocking our view. But....and I almost hate to say this....it IS pretty.

Now, will this be staying until spring thaw?
It gives a whole new meaning to Christmas lights- gotto find your house somehow….

We have -20 here, but supposed to go back up to 0 by tomorrow at noon. We had some icy roads since Thursday and I felt isolated because I didn’t make it to my friends house or my grandchild….bought three books at the bookstore….

Good Monday morning! Lots of hints on beans, impressive photo of snow tunnels, a few things to talk over at the Coffee Cart. Come in where it's warm, and help yourself to the tea, coffee, or hot chocolate (maybe the last day, as supplies are used up). The Baker has whipped up a fabulous batch of bear claws to enjoy. Come and chat, connect, and support each other! All things are set up and ready; all are welcome. Come on in and join in!

Be prepared ... snow jobs are the fashion! You may identify with the metaphor ... Eire is thick with'M!

Alas and anon ... "virtue is difficult" ... that's the truth!

Looks like our early winter is coming to an end, or at least a respite. Above zero with rain some days between now and next Sunday. Of course, who knows where it goes from there. Tea and a bearclaw should get my day off to a good start.
