It worries me that the health departments are trying to reassure the general public that they are more prepared than ever because of what they've learned from SARS and MER, but so far both confirmed cases of the novel coronaviris have slipped through the airport departure checks in China and the arrival airport checks in Canada. I assume it may be the same route with the suspected 19 cases that are waiting to be confirmed or not. I wonder why there isn't a "holding" area where those disembarking from China are checked more thoroughly? Possibly actually tested for the virus? What is the procedure for checking those passengers anyway? Do they ask the usual questions only, such as have you visited China in the last 6 months? do you have a fever? NO? Okay, go through, you're done......despite the ufact you can be symptom free for a few weeks and still have the virus.
Why is the the wife of the two confirmed cases allowed to stay in her home unmonitored?...just asking.
I'm not even sure why planes from the epicentre of the disease are allowed to land in Canada, given the rate of transmission that is evident from all reports from China?
So what is it that the health departments have learned again?

Because it is the same with the flu or a cold- you already have it before you have symptoms. You would have to hold people for two weeks without contact to others to make sure they don’t have it.
In NS news today- Chinese Highschool students expected to arrive these days will not be coming as a measurement to contain the spread.

That they are working on a universal flu vaccine is a fact.

That the vaccine all hands on deck is driving up the stock market is a fact.

That the situation In China is unprecedented is a fact.

Some 50 million Chinese people are on lock-down already and under quarantine.

Corporate Manufacturing in China has increased the level of pollution and the people by the thousands were protesting in the streets because lung and breathing problems were epidemic before the 'novel' corona virus ... but now all hail the virus as a means of exerting 'care and control' to the nth degree.

The threat of martial law and mass vaccinations is my concern ... the threat of yet another 'Big One' just over the horizon ... not so much.

Experimental vaccines and the Medical Cartel are my pet-peeve - altering the DNA of the world wide population and destroying our immune systems seems to be a priority .... is it to control populations or for the profit ... probably both ... cradle to grave.

Seriously? After all the pandemics the world has seen, "unprecedented"? And that's not fear mongering?

Look, I appreciate you picking up the slack for blackbelt. I really do. You find the crazy, you bring it here, we have a laugh. But it's way too early to call this one "unprecedented", and it's not as funny a situation as most. The DNA vaccines hold promise, and the science behind them makes sense. They have not yet been approved for human use, but I don't share your fear of them.

There are things to question about the handling of this coronavirus. But you go beyond that. You seem to think there is a sinister cartel at work. I more think if pharmaceutical companies wanted to only make money, they would not make vaccines at all. Selling an ounce of prevention before people get sick is not extremely profitable, and never has been. Selling them a cure when they *are* sick - that's where the money is. Your fears don't even follow the motivations you ascribe to these corporations. Not to mention the very real people who work on these vaccines, at least some of which you'd think would be blowing whistles like mad if what you fear was true and they had an ounce of humanity.

That is your personal opinion and you are certainly entitled to share it.

My conscious objection is ... as ever ... to mandatory mass vaccinations of entire populations with 'experimental' vaccines.

There is indeed a sinister cartel at work ...

Seriously ... stockpiling mandatory vaccinations for every citizen of the world from the womb to the grave ... not profitable?
Selling them a cure? Selling 'symptom relief' is no cure and more often than not further deteriorates 'health' - but yes symptom relief is very profitable ... and usually not mandatory.

What world to you live in .... how are whistle blowers 'handled' ... they are 'paid to go away' ... if they cannot be 'bribed' or 'threatened' into silence they are 'debunked' 'discredited' 'shunned' as a reward for their 'ounces' of humanity.
 
Here's a little anecdote for ya. Had lunch with my daughter yesterday. She was commenting on how long it took her guy to get over a bug they'd both had. He's a very healthy guy, she's healthy, but with (her mother and grandfather's) slight predisposition towards asthma, and she's had pneumonia. He didn't get a flu shot, she did. She felt kind barky and punk for a day or two; he spent several days completely in bed, and is only recovering 8 days later.
 
The people on this list contracted the 'Spanish' flu and lived to tell the tale.

Would this make one sick the alternate way ... that is causing thoughts as evil and free?

It would be beyond the SET Roue's ... therein the rub!
 
Just to provide an alternative example. I used to get the flu every single f-ing year and it generally took me out of action for 4-7 days. I have only had it once since I started getting the shot. And that was the H1N1 outbreak when a major flu swept through London before the vaccines were even out.
