Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Tomorrow at 11am - I'm going to share a secret here at Wondercafe2 which will shatter regular users - and could quite possibly lead to the destruction of this entire virtual community.
You've got more free time and you're gonna be spending it here?

Does it have to do with the predominance of VI or s'x coupled with a zero ... a stunning combination? What a hole to dig ...

Both reflect a similar situation. 60 seems more desperate, more of a plea. 56 seems more confident, more sure of God's presence. I could see either making a fine text. It's all in how you spin it.

Yes - I picked up on that too - that they sound somewhat similar. Both deal with being surrounded by enemies - questioning God's presence - and determination to remain faithful. 56 expresses more fear. I appreciate the part of Psalm 60 in which God says - "Such-and-such a place is mine - and Such-and-such a place is mine" because I want to discuss how everything is in God's control. Also - I do want to talk about how God has good plans for people - including those in the two neighborhoods of the two churches I will address.

"everything is in God's control"...?

Are you intending to persuade your hearers that any response they may have to your thoughts are irrelevant through the negation of human liberty by a totalitarian divinity?

"Give me absolute control over every living soul..." L. Cohen

Last... But not for long...

Everything is under God's control. God chooses to exercise said control through a variety of means - including human free will.

Jae, regardless of your intent this post is a threat.

In my workplace you would be written up and repeat of fences would get you fired.

If you have an issue or disclosure, contact moderators or admins (if technical)

No threat was intended Pinga. I didn't say I was out to damage this virtual community. Rather - I only warned that the secret I have to share could have that effect. In any case - it was a comment made in humor made in the context of this particular thread which is not one of the more serious ones on these forums. Should I ever have a serious enough issue or disclosure, I will contact the moderator(s) and/or administrator(s) of my choice. Thank you for the invitation to do so. If I ever break a rule in the Wondercafe2 Code of Conduct please contact me. Peace.

Hi Jae...

Would like to pursue this (Psalm reflections) with you. Will start thread on topic of "control" as a word to describe divine presence and influence on arrival home Tuesday. You in for such a dialogic engagement?

The wording left a very strong impression that you were about to drop a serious bombshell on the cafe, Jae. Humour may have been intended but it was not what was communicated to many of us. Read your posts carefully before hitting Post Reply and if there is any chance a joke could be misconstrued in some way, rewrite it or don't post it. Just some advice from an old forum hand who's been haunting various forums for a couple decades (longer if you count my occasional forays into Usenet).

And now, with that, back on topic ... I'm last!
