What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

No way will he step down. Being president makes him untouchable. He will die in office because he has no choice.

And he has no legacy. Everything he has started will be torn down. He knows no one will honour him after death. He needs power to try to make a legacy, but there will not be one.

He will be administered more MOCA tests as his doctors become more alarmed. Trump will brag about acing more tests, even if he fails them. Because he lies as automatically as he breathes.

The world simply waits for the Big, Beautiful Obituary. A midterms loss won't be the end of him. He will probably try to stop new Dems from being seated before he ever steps down.

Some old sage said that power corrupts ... thus some mystery gives a dose of it for an example of learning why life must be terminal or otherwise an itinerant would go bad. In the meantime a rare few of demons learn something other have no such inclination ...

The word, god said we' be given a sign and many can't see that sign as they say black is not something easy to be seen and perhaps why the lower class we not allowed literacy for centuries or more ... sometimes only clerics could read even if superficially ... for depth was even darker. Mulish density?

Then some mysterious power beyond created the satyr ... diabolical metaphor? This beast may hide behind a veil, curtain or even sacred gate and pier out to watch your behaviour ... thus proper hauntings ...

It would even work better if most could not understand because alien intelligence is even more frightening ... understanding then becomes a caring gift for those experiencing life that is brutal, violent and normally hateful about the winning ... losers just enjoy the game for to learn living skills and avoid losing soul ... it is just the reason it is the way it is ... a pain ... a sign of what happens with corruption, etc. Some learn one skill ... others ...

They missed the Golden Rule about the Beatitudes ... glowing reversals ... reflections? Mysterious mirrors ...

Great news: America turns blue! There is now great joy and celebration for our neighbours to the south! Meanwhile Trump's saying he may now take off for Israel

Is there something that indicates (a sign) for a national change of mind? What of all the folks a few years ago that were great power supporters?

Do they now have a new set of clues from the experience of overwhelming power?

Is there some adage about power being dangerous ... something we can learn from while on the fringe, looking inward? Always a few stand al one 's out there attempting to run the whole thing from a safe spot where the errors won't hurt them ... pinnacle of collapse? Learning positions are sometimes right into what remains ... left-over! That the bit and pieces ... rubble waste? How to make something of wasted matter ... casting stones in spatial modes ... a dream like a Moen overhead ...

I wish I could be that charitable. The GOP could be back in 2028 if the Dems blow it. I wouldn't even rule out another GOP presidency. This is mostly people reacting to the impact Trump's idiocy is having on them, rather than any kind of regard for the "good of all people".

Congratulations to the USA......you voted with a United heart for the good of all people!!!
Many voted against high gas prices. They're not worried about ICE raids killing citizens, corruption, illegal wars, or any of that. They only care about the bombing of schools in Iran because they are paying $5 a gallon because of a stupid war.

This is not an endorsement for Dems or a complete condemnation of Trump. This is idiot Americans reacting predictably to paying more for gas, diesel and groceries that were harvested and delivered with gas and diesel.

It is that fragile a situation without intelligence and wisdom inserted along with care! But then do folk prefer emotions ...?

Is lack of adequate intelligence a stripping of something intangible ... leading to emotional responses? Takes time to put it all together ... thus the timeless ghost chuckles ... you can almost hear it in the shadows ... it sometimes comes to me in the night .... when the physical portion of me is out of it ...

Is intellect beyond the physical emotions? Is there something destructive to fixed beliefs that allows encroaching wisdom?

Weird ...

Whatever the motivation, it's better than what it was IMO. If sanity and adult negotiations replace the god awful rhetoric that has been occurring to get lower prices for gas, it may also tone down the need for war. Its better than the s**t show the world has been watching.
By the way, does this mean there's a way to remove Pete Hegseth and charge him with war crimes?

They could impeach him but Congress wouldn't be responsible for war crimes charges. Given that the US ignores the ICC, war crimes charges against an American are kind of pointless. They won't hand over their own citizen and will penalize any country that does arrest Americans on ICC charges. And I suspect the Dems are no better on that front than the GOP, to be honest.

The problem is that congress isn't in charge of those negotiations, the executive branch is, i.e. Trump. He'll have to play nicer to avoid having Congress stomp on him and to get their support for any deals that require ratification, but he will still be in charge of things like trade negotiations and diplomacy. I do hope they will act to stop the Iran war, though. Authority to declare war is supposed to belong to Congress and the GOP majority just blocked any attempt to assert that in their worship of Trumpism.

And, frankly, there's a faint hope we might see an impeachment though the DNC has been reluctant to go too hard so far so I am concerned on that front.

It seems that alot of the Military are threatening to walk because of poor leadership amongst other things,I wonder if that would work?

It might put pressure on both the administration and Congress to do something about Hegseth. He's a walking train wreck who absolutely should not be in charge of the Pentagon or anything else.

Will Canadians' lives improve now that the "Democrats have taken control"?
Funny thing is, back in the 80s when the whole free trade thing started, it was the GOP who started it (Reagan then continued under Bush Sr.) and the Dems who questioned it. That's only 40 years ago.

Once again, the pendulum swings back the other way in the USofA.

Same old same old.

I know mine will, I'm tired of the rhetoric.....it may continue and it may not, we shall see in January.
Also change takes time, I'd say we have a better chance for change than we had yesterday. We'll see....
