I grew up reading newspaper comic strips like Steve Canyon, and Brenda Starr. Dick Tracy was in for a while too. None of those would be considered ‘funny.’

I have a stack of old comics from the Calgary Herald from the 1960s and 1970s. I should pull them out and see what comic strips are in them.
