How did I am the way the truth and the life translate into my death is necessary in order for you to be saved from sin?
Adam and Eve were sin free until they disobeyed God. God could no longer be one with those who rebelled. In order to be the first resurrected a man would have to be sin free in order for God to reverse the original punishment and overcome death. Jesus was that man. Resurrection began and the door was opened to the Kingdom.

So God created Adam and Eve and an evil adversary to God - the serpent - and a tree of knowledge of good and evil that God warned Adam in Genesis - but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat - for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.

Interesting given that Adam -also in Genesis- is said to have lived for 930? years.

So death then did not mean literal death and the same day did not mean literally the same day.

So maybe death meant becoming mortal or spiritual death or something like that?

So now the reason for death/suffering in the world is because of man's sin principally through Adam and Eve?

The doctrine of sin was then inherited by all of mankind because Adam and Eve committed a first original sin?

But - how can sin have entered the world through sin if before the fall human beings didn't have the proneness to sin?

So Eve has one conversation with the serpent and commits the original sin that God set her up for in the first place.

The serpent tells Eve that she will not die if she eats from the tree and that God only knows that if she eats it
she will be like God knowing good and evil.

So Eve sees that the fruit of the tree looks good enough to eat and after taking the first bite she shares the rest with Adam.

If the good God created a good world with no evil in it - however did it contain an evil deceptive serpent?

If there would have been no evil to temp Eve there would have been no fall.

So in the here and now we all have to be punished for a "sin" that we did not commit.

And if Eve was born innocent and had not eaten of the tree yet
then how could her actions have been sinful/ knowingly evil if she did not yet even have a knowledge of good and evil ?

And now we all have to punished for a sin that we did not commit because Eve ate of the tree
not knowing that it was wrong until after she was deceived into committing the sin in the first place.

And at the end of Genesis doesn't God himself agree with the serpent when he says
the man has now become like one of us knowing good and evil?

So was God lying and the serpent telling the truth?

We are now all to be punished because Adam and Eve took the option to became as one of us? Gods?

And to top it all off now we have also a bunch of non-rational animals crawling around without their feet
as a punishment for some ancestral snake in the grass.

So animals too, now have to suffer for the sake of the sins of their forbearers?

For God so loved the world that of course he had to curse us with death as a loving act because only then
it would allow him to save us from eternal suffering and death later via the sacrifice of
his only begotten son born of a virgin - enter Jesus.

A new and improved image of God supernaturally better than the original sinful man and woman made in his image in Genesis.

As a metaphor it's a fascinating narrative.

But I just don't find it credible that God created the world then inserted in it an evil snake knowing that it would be able to seduce Adam & Eve and then goes on to punish all their descendants on account of their "original sin".

I cannot reconcile that with a loving God who will later produce a son that has to be tortured mocked and crucified to save us from our sins ever after if we only confess that we need that blood sacrifice to atone for our inherited sinful nature as God intended all along.

Well I had some time to kill as I am stuck inside recuperating from a medical intervention that no doubt was needed because I was born a sinner and like all sinners before me I deserve at least a fair measure of suffering and punishment to help me see the error of my ways in not accepting that I was born a sinner.

This I am sure is beyond your pay grade of Spiritual understanding ---and the remarks will come Flying back I am sure -----

But here it goes -----

Sin is a Spiritual infection -----Adam was the Captain ---Eve was his --Support ---partner

Sin is a blood issue -----All life is in the Blood ----without Blood going through your body ---your dead ----literally dead ----

-Adam's Blood that God gave him when He created him --gave Adam life and his blood was pure and untainted -----He was connected to God Spiritually ---he could be in God's presents--fellowship with God ----be near God -----Adam was a type of Christ ----God allowed him to name all the animals ---and be a Stewart of this earth ---- Jesus the Christ was the Second Adam

God warned Adam not to eat of that certain tree or he would die -----now God could have killed both Eve and Adam literally instantly for their disobedience -but in His Mercy and Grace allowed them to live but not without consequences-----so instead of killing them --He Tainted the Blood and made them Spiritually unclean ---and they were Spiritually Separated from God ---they hid from God --the became aware of their naked bodies and tried to cover themselves
God made clothes for them out of Animal Skins -----so Blood was shed to make their clothes --this covered their sin --Folks --so they could still communicate with God ---A life for a life ---
God then put them out of the Garden and they had to fend for themselves away from their protected garden ---

The untainted Blood that God gave them was now Tainted ------and this was passed on to all of God's human creation through conception --

The first sin by the way was done by the serpent -----deceiving Eve --all 3 were punished for their disobedience ----

OH ---and your going to HATE THIS ---Guess who this is from ----

AI -----

Original Sin/Depravity: When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, their nature changed from holy to fallen. created a spiritual infection or "blood disease," creating an inherent inclination toward evil (often termed concupiscence or a "bent toward sin").

"One Blood": Acts 17:26, God made all nations from "one blood" (Adam), therefore when the original source was corrupted, the entire human race became tainted.

Contamination by Sin:

When Adam and Eve sinned in Genesis 3, their spiritual life was immediately severed, and their physical bodies became subject to death.
The transgression tainted their entire being, which is referred to as the bloodline or nature.

• Life belongs to God and is symbolized by blood.

Life and Sacredness

Blood is inseparably linked to life. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Leviticus 17:11).
Shedding blood is therefore tantamount to taking life
(Genesis 9:4-6).

Scripture treats blood not merely as a biological fluid but as the God-given essence of living beings.

I say ------Receiving Jesus who's Blood remained Holy and free from contamination to cover our sins is our only way back to being Spiritually Connected to God ------we have to be Adopted back into the Fold -----our free choice to accept or reject ---

Jesus is the bridge back to the garden -----You don't have to believe it -----but That is The Truth------
