What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

The penny dropped for me. Trump is employing "Art of the Deal" to geopolitics. TACO tarrifs are just levers to manipulate the stock market to dump trillions of dollars into the pockets of trump-friendly investors. Conveniently, they can be applied whenever the truth about his involvement in the Epstein files looks problematic.
ICE has been deputized to be trumps's gestapo. More to come since they will have the biggest budget in US history....More recent recruits are taken from white supremist militias, biker gangs, J6 thugs, pardoned criminals etc, and are a different animal than legit law enforcement.

Jared's presentation to the "Board of (gag) Peace" was as disgusting a piece of nepotistic neo-liberal corporatist drivel as I have ever seen. This is not capitalism in any sense of the word, this is cronyism at its worst. In a capitalist system, there would be multiple bids, each making a presentation, for a project of this scale. And that's without getting into the whole quagmire of stealing the Palestinians' land, which pushes the whole thing into the worst of colonialism and imperialism. It makes Putin and his oligarch buddies look good by comparison. The US is a failed state at this point. All the more reason for us to open ties with countries like China.

If stupidity and ignorance is bought into play; will something distasteful to the federal haters ... go away?

As alternative fact will it come back as a great negative? Split dealings again ... fractures ...

It is about power and undermining democracies.
Democracies?

For commentary on the political landscape in the USA I like The Chris Hedges Report Substack

Here is an exert from his January 19/26 post titled The Last Election

The “consent of the governed” is a cruel joke"

There are few substantial differences between the Democrats and Republicans. They exist to provide the illusion of representative democracy. The Democrats and their liberal apologists adopt tolerant positions on issues regarding race, religion, immigration, women’s rights and sexual identity, and pretend this is politics. The right wing uses those on the margins of society — especially immigrants and the phantom “radical left” — as scapegoats. But on all the major issues — war, trade deals, austerity, militarized police, the vast carceral state and deindustrialization — they are in lockstep.

One could say that corruption crosses the Rubicon (red line) and corrupts from both sides as a consequence of capitalizing the temple ... or the contemporality, capital extraction ... an upstanding icon ... in classic tongues ... semi tight ... everything being mean because of the unspeakable qualities ... it goes either way!

Realize one way is more mystical and darker ... you can't see it from half the positions ...

Why aren't the citizens of the United States dragging Trump out of the Whitehouse along with many of his minions? Are the people more afraid of civil war more than a dictatorship? Hard question, I know, if it were Canada would we?

25% of the citizens approve what he is doing and many or most of them are armed.
It would take both sides to be armed IMO.
If they did do it, who would the army listen to? Trump as he's being dragged out? How many in the army will defend the situation?
I don't think he has respect for peaceful protests, or is there a judge that could order him arrested and designate a temporary neutral commander in chief?

Wheres our Supremes have mandatory retirement at 75 and have since 1927. No one should have life appointments to a position of that power. Just fossilizes the institution and holds back its evolution in response to the evolution of society.
Good choice. The likelihood of having dementia increases significantly after 75.
