Kids grow out of it ... because of dark Arts ... things unseen as abstracts going round and round ... moons?

Yet still by passed and ignored as grains in an hour glass ... grinds on ...

Weather app says the wind is currently blowing at 41 k/h with stronger gusts...and it's to get worse throughout the day!

Too much freakin' snow again. Had to knock the tops off the piles at the end of my drive so I have room for more. Temps remain below zero for the next week with a chance of flurries nearly every day. At least it's January now so this is expected weather, unlike when we were getting it in early December.

Cold. Wind. Ice. Yuck.
Ice especially yuck. Someone at work had to have surgery for a broken bone due to a slip and fall while someone else was off a couple days with a back injury due to another slip and fall. I managed to slip but not fall.

Mercifully, ours mostly melted in our brief "heat wave" (for certain values of "heat wave") though some still lurks under the snow in places.

Our did that a bit but not a ton. It was slippery coming home on Wednesday when the temp first dropped back below zero but it was a thin skin that salt and ice melter made short work of.
My sidewalk is a skating rink with a very thick layer of ice - ice melter doesn't seem to be doing a thing

Ew. That's what my driveway was like after the freezing rain on Boxing Day. Had to use my garden spade to chip away enough so there was a safe area to walk on when my son came over that evening. Fortunately, things warmed up by New Year's which got rid of most of that ice.

With the extreme wind yesterday, one would think that most of the melted water would have dried up but didn't seem to. On the other hand, it really took the snow down in my yard - I can see bare patches of grass in spots.

Sigh, the separatists are holding a petition signing event in a community near me...I haven't heard if our infamous restaurant on the hwy is holding one too.

Maybe they'll slip on the ice, bonk their heads, and forget what it is they are so upset about that they want to leave Canada?
