No Thanksgiving Dinner here, I don't think. Still burning off all that moussaka and souvlaki.:giggle:
 
Our Thanksgiving dinner is scheduled for tomorrow . Oldest daughter on the farm is the chef. Sounds like most of the youngest generations will be there. Haven't seen them since July even though most of them are local.

Younger daughter is on the newest Celebrity ship in France as the final touches are being made. Neither son can attend but DIL is bringing the youngest grandkid.
 
LAST on a not so cold morning. Woke to a darker than normal house at 5am. Realized that the streetlight out front is dead. Put in a report to the city, though maybe I'm a latecomer. For all I know it's been out for days and other neighbours have already reported it.
 
If mornings get colder during an environmental crisis ... is that contra indicative? Would anyone be comprehending it if intoxicated on power?

Isn't that humiliating ... down Ayres ... draughts? Air it is ...
 
Press phoned yesterday...I'm being restricted to only 16 pages for my entire xmas issue...means half the income from the greetings. And they are still threatening to charge me the $800+/week because they still claim I'm a 16 full colour weekly publication. I wish I had the $3K I owe them right now so I could pay them off and then see if I can find another option.
 
Papers delivered! I have a tentative plan B - they are to get me solid numbers by tomorrow...and I have the meeting on Tues for the offer that came out of the blue. So there is a glimmer of hope...now to figure out how to get $3K ASAP!

Run an online scam? Seems to work for large numbers of people in Asia and Africa. :rolleyes::cautious::D
 
I doubt I could pull that off with a straight face. Just received a $100 donation and there were cheques in the mail so now I only need $2400!
 
Flying trip to Stettler to have Plan B print off a sample of the paper for me - looks better than I expected...their cost isn't as good as I hoped, but there are other benefits (and as I've worked with them before on other projects, I know they are trustworthy and easy to deal with). So I need to see what the first offer is like on Tues...and hope a lot of money comes in the next few days as I need to make my final decision no later than the 28th if I'm changing press options.
