Chilly here today, but at least will be above 0. I think the proportion of grass and pavement now exceeds the proportion of snow here. Still a lot to melt, though, especially in shadier spots. Showers in the forecast for the weekend so maybe that will finish the job.

Just got in from a lovely walk. The sidewalks are clear in most places but there are still icy patches. This time of year can be hazardous if you let your guard down. Ask me how I know this. :p

My last walk, everything was pretty clear, actually. Some spots that don't get plowed as well, like the pedestrian pathways that run between some parts of the neighbourhood, are still not completely clear, but the main sidewalks are good. Wet and sometimes a bit flooded, but clear of frozen stuff anyhow.

Trying to explain to my niece why the Beatles were so popular - she's not getting it :P
I know why they were so big and get it, but they have never been and likely never will be my favourite band. Even in my youth, only a decade or so after they broke up and with all but John still alive, I was not listening to them as much as some other acts. But, yeah, Gen Z are so far removed from The Beatles era, I can see them not getting it. Then again, my son got into classic 70s rock like Zeppelin and Springsteen when he got to university after being a big fan of contemporary EDM in high school so you never know.

One thing with being part of the music video generation (MTV started when I was 16) is that a lot of the songs of my youth are kicking around on YouTube. And then there's the whole YouTube cover scene and older songs getting boosts from being in soundtracks. Stranger Things has been great for reviving songs from my youth.

That's a sign you're getting older ;)

Oh, I sure am. Big 6-oh looming. :giggle: Weird thing is that I mostly listen to recent stuff these days. The band I had on in the car the last couple days started in 2012 and their lead singer is 33. Even Nightwish, my current favourity band, is less than 30 years old and the oldest member is about my age, with most of them being much younger.

I'm younger than both of you and mainly listen to music from the 40a and 50s...unless I'm in the car and then I'm listening to newer country music

I turn 70 on Friday....yikes, but I'll listen to new music as well as old....even the crooners from the 40s or older.
There's good music to be found everywhere......oh yeah sometimes I even like some of @Mendalla's headbanging music....lol.

Today I found a dog hair in my living room. Looked to be from my granddog who passed away in the fall.

It reminded me of finding Christmas tree needles (real or fake) in random places during the summer.
