Harris and Trump have fundamentally different approaches to the Korean Peninsula.

Trump favors a more direct and cost-centric approach

"The article by Park Sung-ik addresses the challenges and shortcomings of English education in South Korean high schools, particularly in the context of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT)." - Copilot

Feel there's a lot of truth to this article. The high school students I've had here have had to study hard for tests. But when I've asked them when outside school they use their English, the answer has always been "Never" or "Not much."

Freedom of economy will trim essential edges ... essentially the entire thing ... as the wealthy cannot stand the dispossessed and yet the numbed by economy fall for it ... with great hope of physical wealth!

Many droop to the base line ... in failure ... a type of folly in Logos! Kind 've like ochre of burned earth item ... imagine the flaming thing loaded with out raging stimulus ... some spirits retreat like Moses ... into a failure ... isn't that peculiar to do a recess? Break in reality ... reality is truly a dark form ... sometimes cast over the night's sky ... kind of Aeries dream ... Aryan? The great mystery had to have someplace to put it ... thus we are screwed ...

Many are unaware of the fact ... only the alternate facts as laid out (protocol)! No wandering ...

Does anyone here do yoga? Would you ever go to another country, go to one of its national historic places and display your skills there? A controversy has sprung up online due to a visitor to Korea from Vietnam

Probably wise to familiarize one's self to the local customs before visiting.
I don't find it offensive but I don't live there.

I wonder if North Korea hopes no too many of their soldiers will die or desert while fighting in Ukraine so they will gain battle experience helpful for a potential invasion of South Korea. There was a report about a week ago that some North Korean troops had already defected. Language issues are suspected to be a problem.

There are 1000 to 1500 Russian troops being injured or killed every day. There was a recent report that Russia is building a force of 50,000 to 100,000 troops to try to retake Kursk.

Oh boy.

"The article discusses the ongoing controversy over the Christian cross atop the Christmas tree at Seoul Plaza. The debate centers around whether the cross reflects religious bias in a public space. The Christmas tree, topped with a cross, has been a tradition since the early 2000s, sparking debates about religious favoritism and neutrality. While Protestant groups finance and support the cross, critics argue it breaches religious neutrality. Despite public outcry and complaints, the cross remains a fixture, defended by Protestant groups as an appropriate symbol for Christmas." - summarised by Bing Copilot.

Here's the article: Does cross atop Christmas tree at Seoul Plaza reflect religious bias?

My opinion is, Christmas is a Christian celebration. Of course the Christmas tree topper must be a Christian symbol. I'd love it if a star was there, but a cross is excellent also

Is Christianity meant to be a sacred thing ... like and unseen di-Agnostic? Thus we wouldn't know about mortal sickness ... since the great healer was deposed and nailed down ... annihilated? That's Onyx 'd in Hebrew ...leading to y X Z 'd?

To get something out of here, in essence ... so the spirit of the chill ... kohl, dark and hand's OHM? Thus the Ք so you can take a stab at it too ... blade buried as a edge of passion ...

Notre Dame why don't folk take more time to think as a mental Mullen? Where's this Dame if not all about ... except there are those that won't have it ...

When Christmas trees in other places are usually topped with a star or angel, why would Protestants go out of their way to offend other people?

Could set pyres in the tree of good sense that we ... someone said don't go near it and slowing we 're becoming like stupid ... and it went up un flames --- Moses! Might 've been the heated nights in the hills ... there's a Celt expression that is essentially: hills, hills, hills ... rollicking times? Disturbed Eire ...

Eire in some old traditions was a psyche essence ... emotional folk don't get much ...

As mentioned in Room for All. The president of South Korea declared martial law. And then rescinded it. Story below. @Jae will hopefully be along soon with his thoughts.

Uh... Sorry Mendalla and @Waterfall - I can't recall if I knew that. At best it was said to me in an offhand comment by someone. It hasn't as far as I can tell made my life any different.

Here's the Korea Herald report: South Korea sees first martial law in over 40 years.

D'oh! Okay, I wondered why I hadn't heard about it. The state of martial law took place last night about 10 pm to about 4 am this morning

Good to know it's over.....do you think more unrest will come out of it. i read that the president isn't too popular.

This morning, one of my students and I watched videos of the event from various news sources, including Korean sources, CNN, and CBC. My student told me that President Yoon's not popular. He also said that he expects there to be an election here within the next 4 months, and that he wouldn't be surprised if the president goes to prison (it wouldn't be the first time in Korean history that a president has).

Yoon at least used to be reasonably popular. The president here in South Korea is chosen by direct popular vote (which he narrowly won)

Is that what you perceive as going on, jim? It just seems to me that Christians who are celebrating a Christian holiday want a Christian symbol on the tree they've payed for.

Christmas here is more of a religious event than it is in Canada

Religious events tend to be pious and hard because all pho' que have this paranoid item about change ... and then when you look out at night the wholly thing appears to be in a whirl.

Remember if you can control paranoia and impose it on the alter ... the other people! It may be a dark aul, or a Gaul ... a people to get mixed up with in a foreign land? There's not end to it because it is a gross mix-up and you can't regard it until out ... so get a grip of the mule ... its going on ... relentless Lai ...

In some regard like dead poets ... expressed on classic medium ... that's an archaic psyche ... way out there ... Sage?

Of course there are alternate expressions like Sar Ge for the unseen leader (as Ge in gama and black; SAR being and old head). In one story they put it on a stick and it became ET hic ... such myths will be put-down and kilt ... because mortals can't hear of it ... one of the monkey rues ... it primal!

As Jaimes Reaves howled: ITs Time to GO ... others didn't know and it piled up as sitting bull discovered ... may be related to the myth of JL Seagull ...

Some sage declared it is all connected by a dark net ... sage pools that are not septic but aseptic ... loaded with helpful wee gremlins ... observed throu a micr scope ... when initiated some ugly and slimy ... declared precious? Well ... some are and some just wish to rant instead of logging it ... as they don't do ultimate things well ... the story needs to stand for future creations of how we messed up enemas ... in the mass? Thus Masada ... Ur Sa Dai ... demi ti(gh)t matter ...

Note the (gh) is silent ... as a dark aul ... gama sight? Twil eight ... remains a dark and stormy item ...
