Yesterday here was Sunday so we made the drive from Hwaseong to Seoul and back. Much of the snow from the record snowfall that happened last week is now melted. The roads were clear which made for easy driving. Last week, many of them were filled with mush
 
We had about ten centimetres of snow overnight, made everything nice and fluffy- perfect to go cut the Christmas tree. Tree is up , with lights on, ornaments are coming tomorrow. We always go to the same tree lot, two friends, junior with wife and now the second year for our Korean neighbours.
 
Tree is in appropriate location, sheers are tied up with bows, tomorrow a.m. will put lights on, hope my friend will be well enough in the afternoon to come watch me decorate and have a bite of homemade souvlaki. Only had enough snow to bother shovelling off front porch.
 
Good morning! Driving through terrible winter weather, adults and kids left alone without witnesses, decorations and gift wrapping, watching a church service from the recliner, all the other things that come up today, we gather them up and bring them to the Coffee Cart, for discussion and support, and also for tea, coffee and baked goodies. Looks like cinnamon buns and more fruitcake today. Coffee is fresh, tea water hot, baked things are arranged nicely. Come in when you can for a bite and a cup or mug. All is ready, all are welcome!

Still dealing with snow. But at least there is no new stuff at the moment. Some churches were cancelled yesterday, but 23 tough souls made it to ours. I'm glad, because we, in the choir, had worked hard on our anthem, and pulled it off without too many hitches!
 
Imagine all that fluff being difficult ... I was told thought was like that for some folk that were purely excitable ... stay clear ... Primal Command?
 
Shoveled this morning so my wife could get out to go shopping. Probably a foot or so, so far and still coming down on and off. Winter is not coming. Winter is here. SW Ontario was a bit late getting winter going but it has shown up with a vengeance.
 
Apparently the precipitation gods are too busy snowing on Ontario right now. True story: One of the guys who delivers oxygen for my employer in Central Ontario ended up holed up in a stranger's house with no hydro on the weekend due to the squalls up that way.

Well we finally go snow, but not alot.....probably get more today and this week. Not as bad as many are getting it, but it sounds like if we travelled we would encounter alot more. So just staying around town
 
Well, we should have an early start to skiing. Collingwood didn't get what parts of Muskoka got, but they have a foot of natural and temperatures ideal to use half the available electricity in the province for their pumps and compressors. The hills will be whiter than the upcoming presidential inauguration audience in no time.

They should just do what the cloud AI providers are doing now and just hook directly into a reactor. :ROFLMAO: They are spinning up one of the reactors at Three Mile Island (obviously not the one that melted down) to power a Microsoft data centre.
 
We had a few inches today. Dog walker did front steps, boarder roughed out driveway. No sign of sister's snowblower... boarder and I have squirreled together a few dollars, so I think we'll call the service and beg for a senior's discount...
 
Good morning! Snow issues continue, with the opening of ski lodges, and cancellation of services, and people stuck on the road, and power outages. May we all be safe. 108 days, give or take a few, till spring! We gather round the Coffee Cart to continue our conversations, and enjoy fresh brewed coffee, hot tea, and warm muffins. There is also hot chocolate and fruitcake available, for those who would like it.
