Thank You
Your exactly right ----you have to accept Christ in your heart to be saved --if you don't then your not saved ----that is my point --Many Jews today are not saved but they will be when God marks them and uses them to preach the Gospel to the world during the 7 year tribulation ---God honors this Covenant to the Jews in the end -----
If you are a follower of Christ that is true. Are you going to seriously limit GOd's power to accept whomsoever God chooses?

Here is the link again for Exodus 34:29-35

The NET study notes for this passage suggest examining it in context before considering Paul's remarks in 2 Corinthians.

Moses' face shines as he comes back from his encounter with God. The people can see it briefly but then Moses veils.

In future, when Moses goes in to see God, he will remove the veil. When he comes out, he will tell the Israelites what God commanded.

Then the veil will go back on.

The study notes say that the shining face of Moses serves to authenticate messages from God. But the veil prevents them from seeing more than they can handle.

Whoever spends time with God will reflect the glory of God. Is this the main message here?

Snoopy's Snappy Review: Exodus 34: 29-35

Wow! How great would it be to reflect the glory of God?

Snoopy's furry face will never shine.

Are you going to seriously limit GOd's power to accept whomsoever God chooses?
So paradox3 just answering GordW here to me -----hope that is OK

God does not just choose certain people to be saved today and forget and condemn others -----Scripture clearly states that God does not show Favoritism ---

Romans 2:11

11 For God does not show favoritism.

I say -----God had a plan before He created this earth and us humans ----that plan was to incarnate His Son to become flesh and walk with us ---His Son would be the all time Sacrificial Lamb that Through the Shedding of His Blood which took sin away for Good would make it possible for anyone who had Faith in His Son would be adopted back into God's presents and be pardoned of their sins by and through them accepting His Son who paid the price for all sins -----

Ephesians 1:4-5

4 God chose us in Christ to be holy and blameless in God’s presence before the creation of the world.

5 God destined us to be his adopted children through Jesus Christ because of his love. This was according to his goodwill and plan

I say -------If God does not Honor His Word then that makes God a liar and His word of no effect --all have to come Through Jesus now to come into God Presents and be pardoned --

The 12 tribes of Israel will accept Christ and be Saved at the beginning of the 7 year tribulation --God Marks them as His ---and they preach the Gospel to all the world -

Any comments about the radiant face of Moses?
It reminds me of the transfiguration of Jesus. It seems that whenever someone comes real close to the glory of God they shine. Or reflect. I'm then reminded of how Jesus told his followers that they are the light of the world. I'm pretty sure that fits in there somehow too

Exodus 35

Moses calls the Israelites into his presence and repeats God's instructions about the Sabbath. He also reminds them about God's call for the materials needed for the Tabernacle.

Everyone whose heart stirred them to action and whose spirit was willing came and brought the offerings to God. (V. 21)

Snoopy's Snappy Review: Exodus 35

Snoopy would like to have one of those willing hearts.

What should Snoopy do? Pray about it?

Any comments about the radiant face of Moses?
My view
Moses face shone with God's Glory this was proof to the people that Moses had been in God's presents -----this radiance faded after a time ----Now today we have the Holy Spirit who comes to dwell in the believer and this radiance never fades ----God's presents doesn't just come and go like in the Old Testament ---God's presents in the believer is always present ---so as believers matures in their Faith walk with Christ God's Glory is revealed more and more to the people who come around them ----- they have a glow the radiates the peace of God and the joy one has when faced with a bad situations because they trust that God is there giving them the way of out of their dilemma --

Found this on google

Spiritual people, who are spiritual in the true sense of the term or simply devotees, acquire that beautiful subtle 'glow'. It reflects their inner light, peace, and bliss in their outer form. This glow is not so much an outer polish but a softness of appearance and energy.

Moses calls the Israelites into his presence and repeats God's instructions about the Sabbath
There was grave consequences for breaking God rule on the Sabbath ----

verse 2--- Anyone who does work on it will be put to death ----and according to Numbers it was a death by stoning ----

Numbers 15 NIV====God's righteous Judgment and punishment here ----for disobedience

The Sabbath-Breaker Put to Death

a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. 35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp.” 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the Lord commanded Moses.

So here in verses 30-35
We see God hand Picking people to carry out His Plan to build the tabernacle etc ---God will choose who He wants to carry out His plan and that stands today ---He then allows the Holy Spirit to come upon these men to empower them with wisdom --knowledge and skills to complete God's work-----this is the infilling of the Holy Spirit ---

There is a difference in the infilling of the Holy spirit and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit ---
In the Old Testament occasionally God may have sent the Holy Spirit to indwell a person when necessary but then the Spirit was withdrawn ----most times the Holy Spirit would come upon the person not indwell ----it was not permanent like it is today ----The Disciples had tongues of fire come upon them at Pentecost which was the infilling of the Holy Spirit to do speak in tongues ---cast out demons ---heal the sick etc for God's glory and to get people to accept the Gospel ----the permanent indwelling happens now when we accept Jesus in our hearts ----

Exodus 36
Moses summons all those in whom God placed the skills to build the Tabernacle. The offerings of materials required had been made and they exceeded the Lord's requests.

The people had to be restrained from bringing more.

Building begins according to the instructions God had given Moses and the Israelites.

Snoopy's Snappy Review: Exodus 36

Can you imagine if our givings exceeded God's requirements today?

It sounds like Heaven on Earth to Snoopy. (y)

Exodus 37, 38 and 39

The next three chapters go into great detail about the construction of the Tabernacle, its furnishings and the priestly garments.

From what I can tell, the instructions given to the Israelites are carried out meticulously. They did all the work according to what the Lord commanded and Moses blessed them. (Exodus 39:42-43)

Snoopy's Snappy Review: Exodus 37, 38 and 39

Pretty much a snoozefest.

The details are interesting but we have already encountered them earlier in Exodus.

Exodus 40

Exodus 40 repeats considerable detail from previous chapters. The tabernacle is set up according to God's instructions. Moses and his sons are anointed as priests.

When all is done, the cloud covers the tent of meeting and the glory of the Lord fills the tabernacle.

The cloud is on the tabernacle by day and fire is on it by night.

Snoopy's Snappy Review: Exodus 40

The time has come to exit our study of Exodus! It got a little tedious in the last few chapters, did it not?

But it's been great! Thanks to everyone who joined us.

Hello Everyone
I have been reviewing this thread and thinking about Snoopy's next bible study.

We will most likely pop into the NT for a while. The name of the forum has been changed to reflect this.

One more thing. The poster @Jae was disruptive on a few occasions. I let a few things slide which should have been addressed. My apologies. As the host of this forum, I hold certain additional privileges and have used them to lock the thread
