I wish I could clean in 20 minutes. It takes about an hour to 90 minutes just to do floors on the weekends I vacuum (I wash hard floors weekly, vacuum the carpetted areas biweekly).

Do you use a wet mop or a steam cleaner on the floors?

I wish I had the energy to do cleaning for 20 mins straight!

I was post #62,000!!!!...and it was legal for those who will remain nameless ;)

Neither of us could get past the observation that we seemed to be pushing the filth around the house
I run into that with my mop sometimes. It seems especially recalcitrant about hair. Changing the head just seems to improve things for a short time. Been eyeing Swiffers, which use a disposable, pre-moistened sheet as the "head", but that feels wasteful to me even if I liked the one at the cottage when I used it a couple years back.

Mom got a washable sheet that she used with hers - after you're done just rinse (and if really dirty wash with the laundry)

I can push a swiffer around, and also sweep. However, mopping gives my back total fits, as does vacuuming, so I delegate those jobs to the big guy or his occasional cleaning lady. (In my house, vacuuming is largely optional as I have only urethaned hardwood and ceramic tile on my floors.)
