That may have been what we experienced that day. It was either in the early 2000's on one of our first trips back to Ontario, or the late 90's before we went west. If I had to be specific, I would say early 2000's

I don't think that was what we experienced. I do believe we experienced something like that when we were in GP or FSJ. From what I remember, the winds in that storm were swirling somehow, not happening in a straight line.

Either way, it was destructive

Niece's 14th birthday

We…
- made 18 cups of cherry juice
- picked rhubarb and prepared for juice (didn’t get much rhubarb this year)
- picked all of the the onions (only got 5!) and turnips (6!) - only able to save a couple of bites off the largest turnip as they were full of worms

- made a chickweed, beet green, red pepper, onion salad with grated cheese
- roasted the tiny bit of turnip with beets and onion
- watched half of a Hallmark movie on TV as we ate lunch (French toast)
- she had brownie for her cake and opened her present

- we picked all of the apples (couple dozen!) - all but 3 were in rough shape so prepped for juice
- I taught her how to play Scrabble and I won by a mere 16 points

- she put nail polish on my fingernails

Did you know that trees release a steroidal material into the atmosphere called isoprene? This is their respiration and what forest dwellers suck in and sometimes metabolize into other materials ... thus pseudo forms ... unreal feed to your moods and subjunctive's! Then of course in some perspectives moods and subjunctive are parallel, or metaphorical! These concerns must scatter as mortals dislike them ... that's Eeyor'e Buddah ... fuzzy in the forest gump ... that's down ... a support system like a log ... Logos?
 
Mirror is eerily quiet this morning. As the CN divisional point for the province, there is always some sort of train noise, even if the trains aren't moving...this morning - absolutely nothing.........................

(on the other hand, it isn't completely quiet as we still have the crows)
 
I'd take crows over trains normally but under the circumstances ... yeah, this strike is not good. Actually, I just heard a train horn. My office is spitting distance from two railway crossings due a track cutting diagonally past a major intersection. Yes, both streets get cut off when one goes through. Such is life in London, Ontario. At least the city and CN finally agreed on fixing the most egregious train crossing issue by putting a road into an underpass below the tracks at the West end of the yard downtown. Before that fix, two major North-South arteries got cut whenever a train came out of or went into that yard.
 
I heard an interview LAST week with an Ag guy and he said Canada has pretty much lost our reputation as a reliable exporter as countries have no idea when/if they will get what they want from us...and this was BEFORE the rail strike!
