Republican or Democratic?Ya, that sounds too government sponsored.
It is still a good idea to demand evidence of hidden plotting, and in its absence to default to simpler explanations premised upon fewer unseen entities. This is particularly the case when evidence of incompetence is already pervasive, as it is in the failed Trump assassination.assume that what we saw is what happened: A bullet grazed trumps ear.
Deep state. There are lots of Republicans on the left.Republican or Democratic?
You mean the left edge of center I assume. Even the Democrats in the Us are not really leftist. Nor is the Canadian Liberal party for themost part (it has moved a bit back to the left under Justin but was at best centrist under Martin and ChretienDeep state. There are lots of Republicans on the left.
This. It only exists if you see the civil service as your opponents, not as supporting infrastructure (which is what they should be). If the civil service is functioning as a "deep state" and actively thwarting the work of elected politicians, the there's a problem and spinning conspiracy theories isn't the solution. And the problem might just be with how the government is going about things. A stable, apolitical civil service partly exists to rein in the excesses of the politicians. The deep state does not exist.
The Liberals are off the spectrum, IMHO. They are for whatever will get them elected which is why they spent so much of the 20th century in power. Chretien, with Martin in Finance, was the picture of fiscal conservatism in a time when that drew votes. Martin similar, though with some social progressivism mixed in (e.g. the updated marriage act). Trudeau, for the most part, has followed tradition and flailed from policy to policy trying to figure out what will get him elected. I guess it all balances out to make them centrists who wobble a bit.
