What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

The Democratic Party's strategy is to beat President Trump in the courtroom rather than the ballot box.

There might be some merit to this if there hadn't been an indepth investigation, grand juries, a well respected judge, a jury.

RFK is not a credible voice in this. He wants freedom to choose whether to be vaccinated yet wants to impose restrictions on women having abortions. Freedom for some, not for all.

So basically what I'm hearing is that the Americans don't really have much to choose from. I suppose IMO they should hold their noses, prepare for a bumpy ride for the next 4 years from whomever gets in and pray to God that after the term is over they get a choice of 3 new fresh candidates with impeccable credentials and at least some sort of a sincere charismatic personality that believes they are honoured to serve the people.
The world right now is noticing Americas vulnerabilities.
Biden at least is the devil you know, while Trump is the devil you're not so sure of....
I don't envy the Americans this coming election.
RFK.....well, he's not exactly a proven game changer either IMO.

...or Satan (since Trump believes in him) can put him on ketchup and "cheeseburger" watch.

My statement on President Trump trial verdict: Today is a shameful day in American history. Democrats cheered as they convicted the leader of the opposing party on ridiculous charges, predicated on the testimony of a disbarred, convicted felon. This was a purely political exercise, not a legal one. The weaponization of our justice system has been a hallmark of the Biden Administration, and the decision today is further evidence that Democrats will stop at nothing to silence dissent and crush their political opponents. The American people see this as lawfare, and they know it is wrong—and dangerous. President Trump will rightfully appeal this absurd verdict—and he WILL WIN!

Mike Johnson is a cult member. He's allegedly a Christian yet he supports such egregious behaviours.

It’s scary if you don’t laugh at how absurd it is - he’s Frankenstein. It’s kind of sad. For him and the world, too, but laughter is medicine while the institutions we’ve built sort it out. We hope they sort it out justly and safely. The comments he makes are a total manufacture of so many of the other manufactured aspects of North American, especially Hollywood influenced American culture from the mid 20th century to now - inserted into real world politics. And he does it automatically. He can’t help it. He was made this way. We can’t panic. Just steady as it goes. Be still and know. And it’s ok to laugh.

Yes I expect an appeal too, but did I hear right that he will still be sentenced July something? Is that even if he appeals or does he have to wait for the sentence before he can appeal?
Wouldn’t he have to be sentenced first before he could appeal- otherwise there wouldn’t be anything to appeal against….

The most important testimony was from his secretary who did not want to testify, not Cohen.

Maddow saying it’s not going to move the needle much for Trump voters - that’s an important possibility to keep in mind. I’m not grasping at this. It’s become a habit for years. We all want something to be “the thing” that stops him. I will believe it when I finally see a significant consequence to him.

There are supporters who see this as "street cred" and are celebrating. His fundraising site crashed right after the verdict because of the number of donations. It has energized his base.
