Interesting. When I first opened this fact-checked long nuanced list of Trump's presidential accomplishments reluctantly posted by a woke progressive NY Times reporter, I had no paywall problem. But the paywall came up for my second attempted opening. IMO, Trump's massove presidential ackhievements would have comfortably given him a 2nd term in office if he had just stayed off Twitter. His petty vindictive tweets turned off the American public, including many Republicans.

Trump's legacy is secured in many ways, as noted by comparative polls between Biden and Trump's handling of the economy and many other global issues. Clearly, he will most be remembered for the glorious termination of Roe vs. Wade. But Canadians need to educate themselves on his many other achievements reflected in these polls. Here is a list:

I am glad Trump took those steps for Indigenous people. The prescription bill states important objectives. I wonder why drug manufacturers in the States wanted the part about being able to import drugs manufactured in another country to be sold at a lower price than what is manufactured in the states unless it is to send drug manufacturing to a country like India. The part about importing prescription medicine from Canada seems good. I wonder about some of the conditions. The language serms very iffy in terms of actual action.

I was a fan of Obama at first. I know he was hampered by hostile Republican resistance in the House and Senate, but he seemed to not have the agenda he claimed when he first won.

The thing is, you can get Trump's policies from a lot of politicians without getting the crazy. Pence, De Santis, and any number of other right-wing Republicans can provide the right with a palatable (to the right) platform while not pulling narcissistic stunts (Virtual trading cards? WTF?) and not having myriad legal issues or dubious business and personal history lingering around them like a bad odour. Not saying I would support any of those guys becoming president (oh hell no) but at least things would cool down a bit.
