How do you feed your spirit?

How do I feed my Spirit -----well it depends which spirit you have -----

There are 2 Spirits ----Human Spirit and Divine Holy Spirit --both feed of different things ----

Human Spirit which relies on what we see--touch ---feel --hear and smell ----so to feed the Human Spirit we feed off of what this Natural World offers us ----what we are taught by our parents and education and what we see and hear in our physical realm ----

The Holy Spirit is fed by hearing and reading and doing God's word ---so this Spirit requires Faith in the unseen realm to be fed ----God's Word is the only thing that will feed this Spirit -----

2 Realms ---2 Spirits ---2 Worlds ----our choice to feed the one we want to be in -----

Welcome to the new cafe Unsafe.

The two spirits you speak of were described in the Bible* as the spirit and soul were they not? With the physical form we have then have a triune of spirit, soul-mind and body.

It's the spirit, mind and body that express themselves in our personality as our speech, our thoughts and our actions.

And we are ultimately responsible for bringing all these aspects into at-one-ment. Or at least, so I believe.

Hi Neo

Thanks for the welcome

Your Quote The two spirits you speak of were described in the Bible* as the spirit and soul were they not? With the physical form we have then have a triune of spirit, soul-mind and body.

No Neo ----The soul is not a spirit -----the soul is your mind --will and emotions -----bot the soul and the spirit leave the body when you die

You are a Spirit Being ---before you accept Christ you have a Human Spirit -----after you have accepted Christ your Human Spirit is transformed to a Divine Spirit which is the Holy Spirit -----that is why it is called being born again in Spirit ------

John 3:3-7
GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

3 Jesus replied to Nicodemus, “I can guarantee this truth: No one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”[a]

4 Nicodemus asked him, “How can anyone be born when he’s an old man? He can’t go back inside his mother a second time to be born, can he?”

5 Jesus answered Nicodemus, “I can guarantee this truth: No one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.6 Flesh and blood give birth to flesh and blood, but the Spirit gives birth to things that are spiritual.7 Don’t be surprised when I tell you that all of you must be born from above.

2 differents Spirits mentioned here ---both have different ways to be fed -----

Peace

Hi Neo

Your Quote The two spirits you speak of were described in the Bible* as the spirit and soul were they not? ..
You are a Spirit Being ---before you accept Christ you have a Human Spirit -----after you have accepted Christ your Human Spirit is transformed to a Divine Spirit which is the Holy Spirit -----that is why it is called being born again in Spirit ------

...
Yea, the whole transformation of a Human Spirit to a Divine Spirit seems odd to me. Have you ever considered the possibility that rather than your Spirit being transformed, it is you that is transformed? In other words, your Divine Spirit has always there, but it could be that our perspective of this Spirit has the ability to change, making it appear like a new Spirit.

To me, this awareness is the "Christ within you". To me, this is "polishing the mirror" between the inner and the outer worlds.

Hi Neo

It is foreign to you because you have another belief ----I believe the Bible and I have had the Born Again experience so for me it is real -----we think different Neo therefore we will never be on the same page as far as what we believe ----

Peace

So, "no" you don't think it's possible that awareness can appear to be something new?

Hi Neo

Awareness is a good thing but awareness has nothing to do with changing our Spirit from the Human Spirit to the Divine Spirit --only acceptance of Jesus Christ can do that in my belief -----so you are right my answer is NO for awareness-----

Peace

A man who is walking by a lake could die of thirst even though he knows the the lake is there .
A man who hungers may die of starvaion. Even though he setts with tables of food, all around him.

As for the water it dose you no good, to know it"s there . You must drink of Him to have your thirst quench.
As for food you must take and eat of Him to Live. For He alone is life if you do not drink and eat of Him . You will die.Unsafe is right Neo we do not think alike. airclean33

:)Hi airclean33

What man - thirsty - wouldn't drink from the water? What man - hungry - wouldn't eat of the food? What do you think the reason is airclean that people choose not to partake?

Hi Pr Jae---I Believe it to be pride. Many cannot exccept that which is given freely. Why else would so many of mankind turn turn there backs on that which GOD has said is a free gift from HIM? God Bless--airclean33- Gord.

Perhaps it is merely disbelief.....

I belive that my spirit is fed by the people that I find myself near: book club members with wise insights, lay worship leaders who bravely take to the pulpit, friends' kids who treat me as one of their numbers.

It could be disbelief, for surely the religions of the day have not kept up with our modern thinking. People today see right through the manipulative dogmas that many religions still hang onto.

But for the most part I think it's simple "apathy" that keeps one from seeking the inner truth. As a society we are so obsessed with instant gratification and materialism that the idea of seeking an inner truth, the waters of life, just doesn't seem that important to many.

"There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting."

I could not agree more--to what you said, Neo, and what the great Buddha said.

May I humbly suggest that religious people are part of the problem. The self-important, "I know what's right for you" attitude that comes out of so much religion, both right and left, does not fly with the current generation or, indeed, most generations from the boomers on. So they sit on their hands and we get wonderful statistics showing things like a majority of people holding beliefs in God or at least some kind of spiritual beliefs, but a minority of them actually going to church or other religious institutions. There should be humility in the face of recognizing that we are part of a greater reality (God or otherwise) but the leadership of some churches don't seem to possess that quality. I think that part of what makes Pope Francis stand out is that he at least come across as a bit more humble and aware of his place than many other old school church leaders.
