And London is almost at Arva but has never annexed it so stops just shy of it for now. Arva is still politically in North Middlesex or something like that. It is actually annoying now because you leave the north boundary of London and the speed limit rises to 80, then drops back to 60 almost right away
This happens at Highbury, too, just before Ballymote.

LAST as I wonder if people actually READ the paper! Getting calls to update info that hasn't been in the paper since COVID started and they are phrasing it with "I noticed that ____ is out of date in the last issue and needs changed"

It used to happen on Highbury south of Fanshawe. I got a ticket there once. And the police office did give me a chance to slow down. It seemed to be a rural/OPP section (at that time) and was actually a little cash cow pocket for the city police.

I get quite confused sometimes when places are named after other places!

One of the Fanshawe family members owned the rights to the Manor of Barking, Essex way back in the day. My childhood stomping grounds included a Fanshawe Avenue and a pub called the Fanshawe.

I've often wondered much the same thing about church bulletins.

Nice, BA!

Grrrr. Hate southwestern Ontario. Home of speeding tickets because the limit on rural highways varies between 80 and 90, between Huron and Bruce, and if you don't remember which one you're in, well, damn.

The problem is that provincial highways have a different limit from county roads. And some of those county roads started life as provincial highways, then were handed down so the speed limit changed on the portions that became county roads. I've seen it driving North of London to places like Goderich and Collingwood.

I would need to watch those changes too. The provincial highways were offloaded to the counties when I was still in Ontario. I wasn't fully aware of the speed limit differences.

So Telus guy was coming today to install an external antenna...when he got here, he told me honestly that the external antenna won't fix the connection dropping and let me know that they now have the option in town to connect directly (can't remember what it's called) rather than via wifi so he called in and they can switch me over - will have to pay a penalty for breaking contract but will get a credit to cover as I'm still with Telus + when they found out I have a cell phone and not just the land line with Telus, the price per month dropped $10 so it will only be $5 per month more than I currently pay (for faster/more reliable internet)...he'll be back Monday to do the installation
