How does one forget something like that?? Inquiring minds would like to know.

The main thing that grows in that corner is a yellow-flowered sedum. It's prolific enough that it generally doesn't grow weeds. I get that I disturb the ants, but generally needs doing rarely enough that I forget that they like to crawl up the weeding person. Also, I generally put a pot of annuals on top of that corner to further discourage weeds; not done yet this year (it's been a wyrd year for garden-type centres), although I observe that I have enough annuals for a pot, especially since I found a sunshine impatience in an abandoned corner that survived not being planted last year.

Easy to get tired of heat. We have had a couple more days of 34C. Not sure how we would have coped without the air conditioning, though many people do.. The park across the road has been empty most of the time. No more little huddles of people sitting in the shade of a tree!

Marble-sized hail LAST night I'm hoping that because there wasn't very much hail that there is very minimal damage to the garden/flowers.

Out to bike at 5:00...seat seems super high but it was easier on the legs ...however, it was killer on my butt!!!!! Not sure if I need a different seat or if I just need to get used to it as it’s narrow and my original seat was wide

In a Beth-Anne-ian effort, with help from my neighbour's mother (a good friend of mine, who was dogsitting her daughter's dog overnight), I got almost all of the rose garden weeded. It's 1/3 mulched, needs some newspapers, manure and mulch to finish it. I will look nice with the Hippie's magnolia tree in the middle. And we went for a nice soak in the pool afterwards, so I'm not quite as stiff as I might be. I CBD gummies right this second.

Out to bike at 5:10...it was a teeny tiny bit less painful on my tush than yesterday Back out at 6:45 (as it was a lovely cool 52F!) and pulled weeds between the back of the house and the labyrinth for 2 hours...then I started pulling quack grass between the back fence and garage - on the half that I didn't get done before I planted the potatoes - did that for an hour...then I decided to mow as my lawn desperately needed it - finished in 35 minutes I think I overdid it and it's now a very hot 75F

Neighbour brought over a baggie of haskup berries for me to try - OHMY Yummy!!!! We chatted for half an hour about our yards/gardens...then I had to pick up an order from sis's office and ended up chatting with her boss for half an hour....now it's Stampede time

Also, can't remember if I told you that I phoned Telus re: internet and am waiting for a call back...very nice guy from TO phoned today and they will be installing an external antenna on the 20th.

There are days when I am sweating and swearing out back when a return to apartment living is tempting. There's some nice condos not far from me...
