The Church Vs. The State Civil Disobedience

So much to learn and so little urge to do so as the demons are locked up in high towers ...

The duality works both ways depending on the relationship of absolutes vs the abstract ... depending on what we settle as amounting to nothing as a nut case ... generating a spatial conflict ... spatial said to do with knowing where we are at in the greater mine ... a vast dark formless place!

Tis a pain to be blinded by mystical forces ...

Then in one definition it is said that a mystic is one searching for truth on two side ... a deuce of a situation ...

What is happening, just now, George? There's a climate mess, an economic system mess, a prison-industrial system mess, a social inequality mess. There's messes up the ying yang.

There's also a proven global pandemic, which is making things a bit trickier.

And really, protesting such really trivial public guidelines as "mask, handwash, social distance" isn't really helping any of the situations.

Today is the 20th of March 2021 World Wide Rally For Freedom.

Vera Sharav is a holocaust survivor and a human rights advocate that has posted a video to The Ralley Facebook page that I will try to link here ... she considers it "of urgency to all of humanity"

I have listened to it and I am inclined to heed her warning.

She is speaking from from her own experience ...

Thanks for this! It was good to hear a coherent presentation of an alternative imagination. This in a context where alternative imagination is prohibited. You may imagine an alternative. If you practice it there will be repercussion.

Like the speaker, my concern is with the governing powers. I do not mean governments. I do mean corporate powers. These govern the economy to the advantage of the few at the expense of the many.

I remember a conversation between God and the prophet Jeremiah. God tells Jeremiah to tell the powers about things to come. “They won’t listen to me,” answers Jeremiah. God says: “Tell them anyway.” History tells the story revealing who was right and who was wrong.

We shall see. It may be that our State protocols are proven wrong by history.

Sorry, I stand corrected - they are not nutters - just wilfully ignorant...........

Willfully and ignorantly reducing every act of civil disobedience as a protest against 'mask handwash or social distance' public guidelines is the problem. Willfully equating parents and children suffering from vaccine damage as nutters and not worth giving a voice to is ignorance and not of the innocent kind. People are not protesting washing their hands or taking common sense precautions at most of these open air ralleys ... that you will not listen to them based on that 'excuse' is the banality of evil ... how many times does history have to repeat itself before we are willing to say enough.

Some prefer to burn the library down in hopes of erasing history ... some prefer to learn from it.

I find it hard to believe that you come down on both sides of this, rita.

I get the vaccine resistance. Because of your personal history.

But if you're vaccine averse, surely, logically, you would be even MORE in favour of alternative efforts to slow the spread of a pandemic - hand washing, social distancing, masking.

This is what makes NO sense to me.

Of course there is a lot wrong with how democracy is lived out in today's world.........

But to tie it up with one conspiracy parcel is simplistic at best and nonsensical at worst.
To sum up your posts, duo Fees, the world is in a mess - and only you two can see what's going on.
Such arrogance.
(I think I'd rather have Mormons knocking on my door)

Got it. Where the world's an a**hole.

You make no sense to me, at all, rita. You ignore me, I'll ignore you, it'll be fine.

The word conspiracy is a diversion. We are now in a historic pattern. A pattern that has seen the rise and fall of civilizations through all the ages. Power seeks power and exploits populations in service to the acquisition of wealth. My understanding is not rooted in opinion. It is rooted in a life time of exploring ideas. This by reading many texts on theology, philosophy and history.

The world is in a mess, as Bette describes above. It is not only Rita and I that see this. Many theologians, philosophers and historians see things from the same perspective. Persons in all countries are rising up in resistance to the abuse of the earth and its peoples by corporate powers. Soon this resistance will achieve solidarity of vision and purpose. As it reaches maturity, we will notice radical State resistance. The threat of that resistance is what keeps the majority to conformed to the Capitalist agenda. It is much easier to be a consumer than to be a citizen. The latter requiring the exercise of personal responsibility in service to the common good.
Such arrogance.
This is a derogatory phrase. Such language is a negative influence on our human hope for solidarity and well being. To dismiss difference is not to negate it.

What do you actually do to fix the systemic issues besides come here and bitch?
The systemic issues cannot be fixed. As human being we are not oriented to systems. We are rooted in organic life. Where that organic life is respected hope comes into view. Indigenous cultures make this visible for those who want to see. Where artificial life is preferred to organic life, tragedy follows.

We are absolutely oriented to systems. We connect and network. That's systems on a small scale.

It is all well and good to sit in here and bitch about the corrupt nature of the world and insult those who don't bitch using the same language. We need to actually do things to effect change. Some do it on a macro scale. Some on a small scale. We do all have a part to play. And just because some of us don't use the "correct" language doesn't mean we're unaware of the issue.

Even so there is a wide gap between the mechanical influence of systems and the organic relations of human being. Nature is not a system but an organism; a living thing. Are you noticing that our technological growth has done much to devastate our environment and diminish genuine human being?

And just because some of us don't use the "correct" language doesn't mean we're unaware of the issue.
If I used the phrase “correct language”, I apologize. My emphasis is not on right and wrong. It is on cooperation rather than competition; a recognition that we are one human being. This even though we are deeply divided by those who seek only to control and exploit others.
