I went for a short walk in the rain with Baela this morning. I haven't been outside since. I did make masks for hubby and did dishes so the day wasn't a total waste. I have my three month appointment with the oncologist tomorrow. It's a regular monitoring appointment. Not the last one.

Just talked to my GP about the weaning off Prednisone and the peculiarities ... some get lethargic and some suffer anxieties ...

I wanted to go to bed for the entire cold season ... thus wintered well ... amphetamines suggested for some folk ... I wonder how may realize amphetamines are another chiral form of steroids?

Is there an end? Appearances of the hind part going on and on towards the horizon ... like the Golden Hind! Is that a metaphorical reminder ...

Can a beef be of great value? That old girl kept asking ... where's it? Who could dream of such stuff ... extensive psyches?

Well, I avoid Prednisone like the plague, because the side effects can be awful, and very permanent. But if you'd like my opinion, wean by smaller changes over smaller intervals than they recommend (down by a quarter "dose", every two days, rather than down by a dose, every week), even if you have to use a pill cutter. The more smoothly you wean off it, the fewer the side effects.

Tossed some flour into the compost that was so old it doesn't even have an expiry or best-before date on it

So I saw my oncologist today. It was a bit of an adventure since the room I usually go to for the video conference was closed for construction. I had to get checked in by slow people, then escorted to the part of the hospital where I would meet the doctor. At any rate, she isn't usually punctual, so my being late to the room wasn't an issue. The appointment went well and everything is fine. There is some lung stuff going on which she thinks is more of an inflammatory thing. It will continue to be monitored. She may refer me to a respirologist. I'll also be able to get the covid vaccine. They've decided the possible risk from the vaccine is less than the illness and are treating the vaccine the way they would the flu shot. I may need to take a short break from my med that is suppressing my immune system. All good news.

Glad to hear it went well
