JP as jumped uP as my grandfather would arise to certain occasions that caused him some distress ... an acronym of unknown application?

Also, I suspect he's half dead anyway, of a combination of poor diet and addiction issues. He's certainly lost his moment in the limelight. Let's briefly feel sorry for his downfall, and move on.

Rita, I absolutely believe that you would refuse a vaccination against the coronavirus. What puzzles me is your unwillingness to protect your fellow humans by wearing a mask.

Moor Jumping þeans ...

We are under the power of forces grossly MS understood as sublime ... poly etudes may be prerequisite ... running parallel to Alpine Flowering and mountainous blooming ... Hei Deis?

And how do you think this world would suddenly turn peaceful and considerate of others, if you yourself are not even willing to inconvenience yourself by wearing a mask for the benefit and health of others?
There is no reason for me to wear a mask just because you and the others here that liked this comment are convinced that you are right and I am wrong. It may be an just an inconvenience to you ... to me it much more than that. It is compliance against my better judgement just for the sake of not going against the panicdemic status quo.

What puzzles me is your certainty that I am protecting my fellow humans by wearing a mask. I am not in the habit of endangering people's lives in any way shape or form.

If you want to wear a mask wear a mask ... if it is voluntary and based on your informed consent. Do not try to shame me into compliance and then if this doesn't work ... what else ... fine me ... put me in jail if I don't pay the fine. You people 'literally' scare me.

While 120 countries in the world, including much of Europe, have ordered citizens to wear masks in public places to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Dutch are doing things differently.

You were the one that posted an article that suggested that mask wearing reduces the percentage of contagion.

If you not wearing a mask put only you at risk, that would be fine. But it increases risk for other people, and I don't think that's fine. I'm not into fines, or demanded compliance, although I assume you also have difficulties with the "no shirt, no shoes, service" policies that have been around forever and are similarly grounded in public health.

How about not mask wearing ... do you see that as an infringement of rights?

If you're near me not wearing a mask and I feel my health is at risk for some reason, I will maintain my distance from you.

This is not black and white. I don't know why you would suggest your not wearing a mask infringes on my rights.

I have no problem not going into a public place that requires me to wear shoes or shirts when I am not wearing shoes or shirts. I have no problem not going into a store that requires me to wear a mask. I have no problem not wearing a mask ... and do not impose my unmasked face on anyone that is afraid of it. If I am not wearing a mask and you are afraid of me then perhaps you should make a point of staying what you perceive to be a proper distance away from me as I see @Northwind has already figured out.

I don’t know why the big issue about wearing masks. Surely we do a lot of things that slightly annoy us but we do it

noshirt noaccess. No shoes. No access. No smoking. No drinking outside. No loud noises after 11 ( Niagara on the lake is Considering changing that to 9 , wanting to be Canada’s sleepiest town) No noise Before 7. ( never worked for me when I worked nights). No alcohol on beaches. No drinking and driving. No underage drinking. Wearing seat belts. No livestock as pets in cities.........

All annoying to different people at different times

do masks help slow the spread of the virus? Does social distancing help? Does anything help? What hurt does it cause to be cautious?

seatbelts as an example. Wearing one protects the wearer. Not anyone else. Yet it is a fine not to wear one. Used to be about$170 in Ontario. You could ask why. If I want to drive with the risk of flying through the windshield what difference does it Make. The logic is that we all pay for the medical care of the stupid ass not wearing the seat belt

so masks. We all pay for medical care. If a person unknowingly spread the virus through lack of consideration it costs us all. Not just that person

i wear a bathingsuit At the beach because it is an expectation. I would prefer not to but I conform to society expectations

so can’t we just all conform to wearing a mask inside A store for a while. Does it infringe so greatly on our need to show. Our face?

See, I can see someone raising a stink about this one, though, and I might even support them. There is really no health and safety issue to skinny dipping and plenty of beaches around the world go naked without any harm done, save to some prudes' sensibilities.

Whereas masking is very much about health and safety.

(Oh, and it is actually legal to be topless at the beach in Ontario, eh. The Gwen Jacobs decision from the eighties still stands.)

I wear a seatbelt only because I cannot financially afford not to.
I pay mandatory insurances and mandatory taxes whether I use them or not. It is not about whether I wear a mask or not ... it is about whether I will be forced to wear a mask or not. If I get cancer ... I will not be using the expensive treatments available ... I would prefer to have the option of compassionate care in a hospitable environment. Which option am I paying for?
