We have different perceptions of time. Imho, "a few hours" is a long time to be in a dentist's chair.
Not sure. What I do know is that there are different levels/kinds of medical insurance and that not all of them cover dental.

Depends on how far from the dentist you live. And personally, if you keep me on nitrous and stream mindfulness meditations into my ears, time gets a bit meaningless.
A few differences I've noticed between my dentist in Toronto and my new dentist here in Seosan...
T: Language spoken - English
S: Korean
T: Separate rooms for patients
S: Dental spaces are partitioned off
T: Dentist works largely one patient at a time
S: Dentist circulates more between patients
T: No device used to hold patient's mouth open
S: Device used
T: Mask not used on patient
S: Mask placed over patient's eyes, nose and chin

In my years, I've never once been on nitrous. Local anesthesia only for me.

My little 6 year old sonnyeo's on her way to spend the weekend here with Yobo and I in my little one room apartment in Seosan.
Her appa's driving her here.
Yobo and our sonnyeo's umma agreed that Yobo and I would babysit, but in the past that's always meant at the apartment of our sonnyeo's appa - which is in Suwon.
It seems that now the appa doesn't want people in the area to know that he has a ttal. He wants his ius to think that he's an aiga-eobsneun.

Is this 'mask' thing like a blindfold? Or is what my dentist uses - a 'rubber dam' - clamps around the tooth which is receiving the work, and then spreads out onto a small frame which prevents the field of work from being contaminated by saliva, keeps the tongue safe etc. Or is it more like a blindfold??
We had dinner tonight at a nice restaurant here in Seosan - pork and sides - served traditional Korean-style (which includes diners sitting on the floor).
On the way back to my apart we stopped at a toy store and picked up a basketball game, a card game, a teaset and a magic kit.
Before bed we watched movies (Frozen and Toy Story) and played basketball and tickle monster.
Tomorrow we're going to the cinema to see a movie - it'll be some animated film in Korean.

Today we went to a super fun place in Seosan - Jungle Cafe. Excellent snacks (I enjoyed a lovely homestyle Lemon Ti) and amazing animals. When you buy your snacks they even give you a nice, large cup of carrot sticks, celery sticks and lettuce so that you can feed some of the animals. They also sell small bags of birdseed for only ₩ 1,000.
They tell you that they're for the animals. That said, you could chow down on them if you wanted to.
My academy kingteacher (principal) implemented the giving out of coupons to students for good behavior. Each Friday we have a market where the students can trade their coupons for candy and small school supplies. We have seen inflation in action. Many of the students are just hoarding their coupons, which have decreased in value. We've put the market items down in price as we try to encourage the students to spend their coupons. Some students now have 80-100 coupons.
