If the the extremes came together ... would that be demos evil thing for those for those wishing for control come hell or high waters?

All is fair in love 'n war ... thus in the interest of avarice ... (the extreme urge to control, versus the urge to escape)!

Demi urge goes on ... due to exposure to power ... a test as described in that 5:21 wording in Thessalonians I ?

What urge do you choose? Like Christ the Light ... soon an extraction ... and you're gone ... Pauling Exclusion Theory?

You know you have lived something of a sheltered existence when you had no idea that Devil's Triangle referred either to a sexual position or a drinking game.

I have only ever used it or heard it used to refer to an area near Bermuda where ships and planes occasionally disappeared.

Thinking that re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re (I really like it)-re-re-re-re-re-re-watching my Special Edition of Close Encounters of the Third Kind will ultimately make more sense and reveal more truth than much out of Washinton these days.

When I went back, I saw there were in fact comments about Kavanaugh after the spiels about neoliberalism and such. I don't disagree with some of those sentiments. At the same time I find it pointless to discuss because I will not engage in black and white, good vs evil dialogue.

As I said before I'll leave it to the two to decide which evil is more evil, the Dems or the Republicans.

If you take that as a personal dog that’s your problem. You take it as a dig every time we disagree, ironically. What I wrote is how I feel about anyone who chooses to go right of centre these days. People I know in RL who would watch Tucker Carlson and listen to JP, for example, I am dismayed about. I know people who do that and I seriously wonder where their brains went, and especially, their hearts. It makes me sad and angry. Like they were body-snatched by a crazy cult of zombies.. I don’t hear any “real traditional GOP” types standing up to that and that makes me very concerned. Conservatives who would support the GOP be prewarned that I don’t like their politics and we are very unlikely to agree on politics. Because the centre moved quite to the right. I cannot see how anyone can support the right. They are moving in a fascist direction. That is how I feel. But it’s not about me and how I feel. It’s a fact. And it is being noticed. Not by me, but by actual intelligent people around the world. It is not opinion anymore. Fascism is on the move, the word needs to be used not whitewashed with platitudes about tolerance for all ideas. You can post how you feel. I am free to continue to disagree with your approach to seeing the good in the traditional GOP as long as the right remains in power.

I don’t support war. I don’t support fascism. If the ‘ war’against fascist ideas is more talking then why is nobody listening to the (intelligent, not referring to myself) people talking about it...and instead pretending like it’s not happening? People are being wish-washy as if nothing’s different in politics now.

I’m going to see Chris Hedges talk in a couple of months. I am trying to stay well read - and sceptical about what I read, alert to fascist tactics - about what is happening in the world and stay resistant to any support of fascism. Because pre-WW2 decent people were taken in by it. That’s the truth. The holocaust wouldn’t have happened without popular support, and without people pretending all ideas were equal.

Dem's and GOP's have always played partisan games but if you think the US Senate has not reached a new level of corrupt evilness with what happen in this case , lynching a man in the media, pushing falsehoods as if are true and continue to do so to manipulate the minds of the people for the November mid terms , just to regain power.

Republicans and their supporters demand "proof." Of course, they conveniently forget that "proof" as a standard is required in cases of criminal charges. A Senate confirmation hearing is not decided on criminal guilt but on fitness for the office for which the person is nominated. That's why all the crying about "proof" is totally and completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. Demanding "proof" is a distraction. A Senate confirmation hearing (or a job interview) is a question of character, fitness - and on the part of those deciding - of exercising judgment. Proof is not the standard by which Kavanaugh was (or should have been) evaluated. I don't know with absolute certainty what (if anything) actually happened between Ford and Kavanaugh. No one does except them. But I felt Kavanaugh disqualified himself simply by his prepared testimony (not delivered in an emotional outburst, but carefully and thoughtfully prepared in the days leading up to it.) And - as I've said before - by his unnecessary dishonesty on small matters like how much he drank in high school. And, really, beyond character and fitness, this was nothing less than a partisan exercise. Trump nominated him, the Republicans were going to fight for him, the Democrats were going to fight against him. As I said a few days ago, American politics has been reduced simply to a zero sum game. Everything is about winning. Trump essentially said that in an interview with CBS the other night. Trump defended mocking Ford's testimony by saying "I'm not going to get into it because we won. It doesn’t matter, we won.” In this one case, at least, give the man credit for honesty.

But if this is now the standard that's established for sexual assault allegations, how many more women will now simply refuse to report when it happens. If they have to "prove" that they were groped? An assault that leaves no physical evidence in other words and often may have no witnesses? And I suspect that very rich and powerful men can create many, many opportunities to find themselves alone with women in situations where they can now very easily "grab them by the p***y" (as someone once said) and know they can get away with it - because how can she "prove" that anyway?

Trump said young men should be "scared." I don't have a son, but I do have a daughter. I think this world is a lot more scary for her than it would be for a boy.

Tis a different realm than occupied by pagans ... common folk and their eccentric tales ... sort of like Hebrew Myths versus the Jude'n Lion! Perhaps a metaphor or pseudonym or something of that order ... a demon or satire?

Can you believe the underdog? That'd be a Jesse Ba'aL whining uselessly in the abstract regions of his Tory ... Taur US ... a divided nation by choice as the other cannot have what is mine ...

History should be ignored ... in efforts for present success of the few! Thus historical redaction of everything ... that's God's ...

I have 3 daughters and one son, yes its more scary for girls, but there are men who are abused or falsely accused and they keep their mouth shut because of fear of ridicule, you know the old saying "hell has no fury like woman's scorn . The police officers I know , and I know many because they train with me at martial arts, they have told me the avg is for ever 3 domestic violence calls they get one that the woman ends up being charged. They also told me that in the past , domestic abuse calls were automatically looked to the male first, that is not the case any more, police are now trained to look at both male and female .
The Kavanough case was not a criminal charge so no proof required, i get that , the Dem's understand that , so simply leak it in the press, convict that man in the minds of the people and sway there Vote come November and control the Senate behind the benches, 1st for power 2) for fear of the Roe vs Wade issue 3) because he was a Trump Pic.

I wouldn't deny that men get abused or that there are false allegations made. But it's clear that abuse of girls and women is far more common.

I won't argue with your police officer friend either, but the 1 in 3 might be misleading. How many women simply don't report for whatever reason - they're afraid of their accuser or they're convinced they won't be believed or they just have no "proof" and assume that their attacker will walk - especially if he's rich and powerful? I think any suggestion that 1 in 3 domestic violence incidents are female on male is ridiculous. "Calls" perhaps. But it's the unreported incidents that I wonder about.

sure I would agree with fear on both sides, the point I have been trying to make through out this whole thread is that , both Kavanough and Ford have been used and continue to be used because in this case it benefits the Dem's to do so.

I never said Ford is lying, she has no proof it was Kavanough 35 ysr ago, and she has said things that are not creditable to her.

But If you feel Kavanough is not fit for other reasons , that is acceptable and debatable in an honest democratic process , like his view on Roe vs Wade.

there was no honest democratic process with in the Senate with what happened bringing Ford into the arena and convicting him right from the begin.

that's a lynching, Not due Process
 
She did her duty. Just imagine you were her and Kavanaugh did attack her 35yrs ago and he was headed for a SC seat. Maybe not saying anything before was personal...but it becomes about more than her. Don’t you get that? And he was not “convicted” of freakin anything. He was appointed to the SC! He is not some political prisoner. He is a very powerful man who did not lose a very powerful job. Get that through your head. And even if he had been refused the job, that is not equivalent to a conviction.

I watched his behaviour in the hearings and saw how he lied about being a good boy on Fox first...then went on after about how much he likes beer and wept about how unfairly he is being treated, and blamed it on a Clinton conspiracy. If that’s the standard for Supreme Court judges and their hiring...the US should be embarrassed.
