And there was a more concrete lie in there. He lied about the change to the legal drinking age, when it happened, and that he was of legal drinking age during the time period under discussion.

More weasely, he made it seem like he was the legal drinking age by just saying, “the seniors in high school were legal”, yet he wasn’t a senior or legal yet. That’s my understanding of how that fib went down,

What never ceases to amaze me is that these guys wish to defend themselves, instead of making a simple, proper apology, that would really have defused the entire conversation. It almost feels like a competition of "exactly how much crap will people put up with for the sake of partisan alliance?"

So I understand that there is no statute of limitations in the state of Maryland for criminal sexual offences....this includes rape. So why isn't this a court case rather than a "job interview"? And if these women choose to pursue this further and Kavenaugh becomes SCOTUS, can he still be charged and go to trial, or does he become untouchable after the fact? Does this hold true for Donald Trump also?
And if I hear Donald Trump say once more that he wants this all sewn up as quickly as possible because Kavenaugh's wife and children are suffering, I'm going to puke. This coming from a man that embarrasses his wife on a daily basis every time one of his affairs is brought up. If I were Melania I'd go to Africa on a goodwill tour without Trump.
It's an "old boys club" that sticks together IMO.

It might end up a court case, but the purpose of the hearings was a job interview. All SCOTUS nominees go through one. Not all have allegations like this against them. Gorsuch didn’t so one can’t say it was just a liberal schemed hit job...or we’d have heard supposedly ”made up” things about him too. I really think alarm bells went off for Ford when she realized that Kavanaugh was about to have one of the highest responsibilities in the land, and she had to say something. True maybe she would not have if he were not about to become SCOTUS, but it carries a different weight - it’s not a self serving job - he would responsible for high level judicial decisions about policy that affect a whole lot of people. But he’s acting like it’s a self serving job - that this is his ultimate power career dream that he’s entitled to. Not a job working in service to all Americans. His entitled attitude seems corrupt as it is.

I read that SCOTUS’s can be impeached. So, if he lied before the committee and that is clarified after his appointment, he can lose his job. It would just be better if Trump dropped him instead, though.

Ironically, Kavanaugh was one of the team who worked for Ken Starr, who went after Bill Clinton’s impeachment for lying about the Lewinski affair. In those days that affair could’ve taken Clinton down because Republicans were a lot more fussy about “family values” than they are with the current president, weren’t they?...but it ended up being the lying about it that was Bill Clinton’s downfall.

Kavanaugh thinks the Ford thing is some sort of pay back for those days. He must feel kind of bad about doing that, if he thinks they’re getting him back.

Problem is, if Trump drops him, he has just set a new bar that he won't be able to continuously pardon himself with.

Guess I missed something, what did he lie about?

Such is Lucid to some and not so to others that find it below them ... Bottom's lying ... something to get out! Lies can fly ... they are like character attributes if you watch bode-I language!

These come in varieties:
 1. Good
 2. Bad
 3. Ugly
 4. Beautiful sublime forms ... platonic desires with cognizance of expansive sol ...
Some say a definitive solipsism of extenuation ... theistic stretch?

Just stuff of the fountain ...

Oligarchs and slipper fissions can't be wrong ...

Thus chit can fly ... just to impress us with alternate ends ...

Can there be more than nothing ... considering what been hidden all these millenia!

PG-13, I wonder sometimes about the extremism/polarity of your views. You seem to be very tied into that American "Us"/"Them" system, rather than the more nuanced positions sometimes enjoyed by Canadians with three or four different, often valid, platforms from which to select in any one electoral period.

I don't personally think that Dr. Ford is terribly important to the story anymore. The world has seen Kavanagh's petulance, tears, temper and complete inability to calmly analyse evidence on full display; only a blind fool would think that the U.S. couldn't find almost anyone more suitable to be a Supreme Court justice.

Another layer of vision that falls?

Even Einstein said light bends towards heavier stars ... thus extinguish in a flash ...

Darkness prevails? Machiavellian ... occult domains ...

Carry a sliver of light when going there ... an old metaphor to demonstrate things of the mind that necessarily must be essence ... as psyche does not exist ...

The those lacking psyche parts would develop an alien BS ... a burning passion with wisps of sulphurous vapours? Thus satyrs may be other than previously believed ...

Conversion syndrome ... black iron out of the fire to be hammered into a virtue 've edge ... thus the piercing of the tapestry of myth to see behind it. There are scenes in popular d' Rhama ...

Rheids are into it as ancient papyrus ... Yo' come?

I haven't watched the whole thing but I wonder how a man that states he hasn't seen Ford since 2002, witnessed her coaching someone involved with this investigation(2018), to take a polygraph test?
A good example of how MSM takes away a person’s ability to process information.

Amazing!

What makes this woman so attractive?
4.54 Pot calling the kettle black. By the way who is this on the video? Just an average person that is entitled to her opinion? I don't have a problem with that, hopefully anyone can speak out..
I do appreciate the fact that I am not an American, and like the rest of the world, I have the luxury of standing back and observing this as it unfolds.....I personally think the timing is suspect for the allegations because above all, if I were Ford, first and foremost it would be very important to me to have blown the whistle sooner to prevent this from happening to some other women after the fact. To say such a man should not be in high office, if he is guilty, is correct IMO, but why the delay until now? I realize that bringing this forward at the time of these episodes happening may have been traumatic and that being raped can cause shame, but after her training as a psychologist, did she not speak with others who may have had to been encouraged to come forward? To say that a man, because he is going into a very high office is a more important reason to speak out now, rather than speak out for other women who could have been subjected to this man throughout all these years, doesn't sit well with me. This is not to say I don't believe her, but only to say, I can see why the backlash is occurring. It happened in Ontario, with an anonymous accusation too, with no further criminal charges laid after the fact. So whether she wins this particular round or not, if this did happen, hopefully there will be a day of reckoning in the court system, to sort this out and find out the truth.
