Natural immune system ... I like the analogy. Trump is a symptom of a disease - we are the anti-bodies that can cure it.

Who Cares was the topic of a church presentation I did once ... few were interested ... just us borderline type ... no impact?

And we’re being gaslighted with “it was about the media.” Even if that were a bit true...how else did she think wearing that coat would be received? It was either blatant disrespect...or careless disrespect. She knows how to dress. And it was the least expensive, only off the rack, article of clothing she’s ever worn. She either knew what she was doing...or should apologize for being so oblivious.

What a gong show this family Dynasty is.
 
Some context to my ban at r/Conservative at Reddit (click this link for reference). The mods there just posted this:

So, non-conservatives are allowed to comment on the subreddit, until the thread gets popular. They will then slap a "Conservatives Only" label on the thread and start banning non-Conservatives. So what happened to me is that I commented (mostly asked questions) in an open thread, and after I posted they applied the "Conservatives Only" tag and used that as an excuse to ban me.

This is the sort of thing people do when they can't handle simple questions or comments because it makes their members look bad.

Not only that, they have painted all "Leftists" with one brush. Not impressed.

Again, my comments were in an open thread, which was closed to "Conservatives Only" after I last commented. And these were the posts.
 
@chansen why on earth would you risk them having to think critically? :rolleyes: I lived in Bob Zimmer's riding. He would ban constituents or anyone who did this sort of thing too. I mean really, how can he possibly answer a question that would take him off his conservative talking points?? *sarcasmfont
 
And I went through a similar experience with Aaron on Facebook. I don't expect better. I have come to expect this level of protectionism from outside thoughts or ideas, which is why I take screenshots. But to complain about the sort of comments they receive as justification for bans, and compare those to my posts which I was banned for, is just too much.

But this is the sort of online presence conservatives from multiple countries are using, and how they are conducting themselves. The problem is, they seize on individual examples of bad behaviour by "leftists" and then amplify those examples. This is why Kimmio drives me nuts, because she is exactly the sort of person they want to amplify.

And it's not that you can't swear or be horrified by what you see, but you have to have good reasons. You need to be able to condense those reasons and communicate them clearly. And this is where sometimes the loudest people who care about others screw up, because they can't do either.

And we know that Reddit is also populated by Russian trolls who have even taken up moderator positions. r/Canada is one place that is run by alt-right mods. r/The_Donald is known to have Russian trolls. I assume r/Conservative has the same problem. These people have aligned with social conservatives and alt-right users, and have worked to drive out fiscal conservatives who have a live-and-let-live approach to those they don't agree with. Whether Russian-based or just in agreement with Russian interests, they are driving wedges and implementing purity tests, driving away people who care about lower taxes, unless they also want to shred social safety nets and protections/rights for marginalized groups. You also have to be a Christian in their eyes. And too many Christians are silent on this. Or perhaps there just aren't enough sane Christians to drown out the crazy ones.
