Well if a pastor says let us all speak in tongues, do you think he is led by the Spirit?
If he was led by the spirit, would he need to say that? Wouldn't it just happen to whoever the Spirit give utterance.
If one just start blabbing and then says it is the Spirit Most High speaking and there is no interpretation, what good is it?
Is it real from Most High or is it our own vanity or pride?
Who knows ones heart but it is suspicious when a pastor would have to initiate something that is supposed to be the unifying factor in our faith.
Cheers

If alien words are spoken; should it stimulate discussion ... or just condemnation about words of the unknown ... God being a mystery ... or beyond our comprehension!

Thus some questions like how, when, where, why, who and what could be related ... and then the lights might come on in GEO Ghia ... fat chance with the desire to conquer, conflict and beat relations down ...

Thus the lighter portions are not related to when the dancing goes on under the trees ...

Life is complex and compounded by emotions out of control! Tis a favoured Eire ...

It was once said God was the word ... and so on ... few related to it ... they were too upset?

Naïveté gets people strung out ... but few will admit to it as a godly needling ... allows for a pile of unseen threads ...

I'm absolutely about a bit of swaying and clapping during the kind of songs that encourage that movement.

I completely get shedding a few tears, especially if I'm in a space where I absolutely trust the leader and the congregation.

Beyond that, not really. I'm English; we keep our emotions in check to a fairly large extent; stiff upper lip is not an empty phrase.

I would feel the pastor was not being so led.

Hopefully not, as according to the Bible there is to be order in the church.

"Whether a man speaketh in tongue, by two men, either three at the most, and by parts, that one interpret. But if there be not an interpreter, be he still in the church, and speak he to himself and to God" - 1 Corinthians 14:27-28.

Indeed.

I believe the authentic gift of tongues is still being given out today. That said, I also feel that often the gift is faked. A couple of people have shared with me that in charismatic churches they were in, a lot of pressure was put on people to become tongues-speakers.

I believe the Spirit of God is the unifying factor, not any particular spiritual gift.

Alien tongues are something those stuck on English wish not to question or inquire into ... I've learned so much from them that many wouldn't wish to know ... thus the "don't know" sects!

The etude goes on for me ... like a Shadowland ... beneath the perspectives of the Maas ... population! Paradigmatic?

Resembles a humpyard on the railroad ... you may get willies going through real humanity and what they are capable of ... and remember because of connections if that is in the human psyche ... it may occur to you ... unless sub dude ... thus the put down ... lesser powers? Poesy ... really ... GOOGLE "poesy"!

I think this culture is really part of the UCCan and UU discomfort with very expressive forms of worship. Both are rooted in traditions that were much "serious" that came over from England (or Britain more broadly) like the Methodists, Presbyterians, and Congregationals (a lot of early Unitarian churches were Congregational).

Any body see the CBC News on cheating charges on a Canadian Engineering Course on ethics and law?

Is there some sort of ambiguity held there? Double talk!

Then there are ministers that preach there are no secret social orders ... and yet even on this site are there individuals that hide their personality profiles?

Why should I bare mine ... except to understanding seekers ... thus Hermes trends towards sacred light ... black old ... condensed to G-old in Greek ... just for subliminal understanding of how wide the understanding of the Word of John can be gospel wise ...

Life is a large metaphor ... in a stretch an exaggeration of simple sooths? If one digs into the strange origins of words in the biblical reference ... you might grasp the multiplicity of eternal entities ... quirks and quarks ... and strange domains like the mental one divided into absolute and abstract ... anima and animi (extended into animi, or animü ... as in alchmii about relating). Tis considered irrelative to some ideals ... like oligarchs can be slippery buoys or oily fishes ...

To say the least the bible is loaded with words strange to many who'd look there .. and thus go no further than what they've been told from patriarchal sources as women were often kept illiterate ... for some known reason. Then they did burn women that could read as sooth-seekers ... at one time known as sorcerers ... isn't that deviate behavioural personality trait as compared to the Golden Rule ... some take it to mean different and from there things get mean as Celtic Scat ... Gaelic is a proximal script to Hebrew ...

Did you know that psyche is of feminine genre ... that's the spirit in some sense formulated from dark marks on cave walls or arid mediums as parchment or papyrus ... they may mean something more than appears ... filling the need of incarnate thought ... just gobs heights ... just sheight of truth? There the Lei de of Dei abounds ... and few understand ... it appears as a strange gift ... reading allezg ories as bloodlines ... genetics?

Often baffles form ... resembling lines of fence ... touché occurs across Ide ... and still some say touch me not ... so don't!

Supports isolated psyche ... naïveté? If you don't like it ignore it ... the forgotten won't bite will it? We don't know yet ...
